- Dar Atlas - After picking guests up from their accommodation in Marrakech, the team is thrilled to offer an unforgettable adventure to explore and uncover the hidden secrets of the Berber lifestyle and heritage in the Atlas Mountains, passing through three distinct valleys. The guide will lead visitors through various places and valleys, with stops to capture the breathtaking scenery along the way. Guests will be warmly welcomed into the family’s home for a delightful three-course lunch, prepared and served by the family. Following this, there will be a gentle hike through the typical Berber hamlets of Ait Souka, Ismir, Tazlgua, Armed, and other villages before driving back to Molay Brahim gorges for a 30-minute camel ride through the Asni valley.
There will be opportunities to meet the Berbers in their homeland to exchange culture and learn more about their history and heritage, with the possibility of visiting the expansive local weekly market on Saturday.
- Agafay Desert Camp - After lunch, guests will meet the driver again to return to Asni valley, where the route changes, passing through Kik plateau and by Takerkoust dam. After crossing a eucalyptus forest, visitors will discover magnificent Berber villages before reaching the closest desert to Marrakech. The landscape of the stony Agafay desert is adorned with rare wildflowers, wheat, and barley, but during the summer and autumn months, it resembles a true desert with stony dunes and hills extending down the majestic Atlas Mountains. A stop for pictures and tea is essential before heading back to Marrakech.
