Fantastic experience and Supporting a Good Cause Too! - This was a highlight of our Moroccan vacation. The manager Rita (?) was fantastic, sharing her own personal story and life in Morocco. This is a training center for underprivileged and disabled people, teaching them cooking skills and placing them in jobs after. So we got to make and eat delicious food and contribute to a good cause as well. We got to choose what we were making in advance. Our group made Chicken pastilla, lamb tagine and chicken tagine. This was the best food we had in Morocco. We went to the Amal Targa Center.

Best cooking class in Marakech - There are many options for cooking classes in Marakech, but Amal's class is outstanding. A beautiful setting, an herb garden where you pick your own herbs to make delicious tea, and wonderful people doing wonderful work. Plus a delicious meal!

The best activity and the best food in Marrakesh - Fantastic experience. Can't recommend highly enough. Beautiful peaceful setting, charming people and ultimately the best food we have eaten on our trip. We did the lamb tagine with prunes and almonds and the fig and almond shortbread. Can't wait to try the recipes at home. Combine all this with a very well organised and well thought out charity supporting women to get out of poverty and you have a five star activity without a doubt. Book it now. Don't hesitate!

Immerse yourself in culinary Moroccan cuisine - We were here with our children, 17 and 18 years old. It was an entertaining morning with cooking, learning new things and coming into contact with another culture. With this course, we also contribute to a social contribution, for women and deaf people. A win-win situation

A great experience! - We had a wonderfull time cooking together with the Amal Teachers and learning a lot about culture, spices and meals. Also the group of people coming from different countries was nice. And our lemon chicken Tajine was very delicious.

A great experience with a great cause - I highly recommend this class, which also has a beautiful cause: empowering women who have faced difficulties. Sharing this time with other people was lovely, but doing so with the women working on this project made it wonderful. Thank you Ghita and the entire staff. They are all kind, respectful, and very fun, always smiling and answering any questions or needs. I was fortunate enough to learn how to make a lamb tagine with prunes and almonds, Ghryba almond cookies, and traditional mint tea. I also learned how to prepare couscous and pastilla just by watching other participants do it. I bought the recipe book and an apron to support this cause. What you get out of this experience is up to you: you give it your all and go with the flow, or you sit and wait for the dish to be ready (it can take more than an hour). I lived it intensely, spoke with many people, asked questions, and learned more about Morocco and its culture through cooking. I watched others cooking and enjoyed a delicious nous nous from the people who run the Sign Café, another wonderful project to empower deaf people.

Heartfelt Mission and Tasty Food - We took part in a cooking workshop at the Amal Center in Marrakesh and overall look back on the experience positively. Amal does very meaningful work by training underprivileged women to become professional chefs and helping them find employment in hotels, riads, and other hospitality venues. Supporting such a cause alone makes the visit worthwhile. The workshop itself is (comparatively) a bit expensive, and the center is not located in the heart of Marrakesh, which makes it less convenient to reach. However, we were warmly welcomed, and everyone involved was extremely kind, patient, and eager to share their knowledge. The workshop ran about an hour longer than scheduled, which is worth keeping in mind if you have other plans afterward. That said, the atmosphere was relaxed, and everything was explained at a comfortable pace. The food we prepared together was delicious, and it was very enjoyable to share the meal at the end. We wish the Amal center the best of luck and hope they can help more women in the future!
