Day 1: Marrakech – Imlil — Azib n Tamsoult\n\nMarrakech - The first day of the 3-day Mount Toubkal trek via Azzaden valley begins with a transfer from Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains. After a 1 hour and 30-minute drive, you’ll reach Imlil, a renowned starting point for mountaineering trips. \n\nImlil - Take some time to explore the area and soak in the beautiful surroundings. From there, embark on a hike up to the Tizi-n-Mezzik mountain pass, which stands at an elevation of 2,489 meters. At the pass, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Imlil area and the Azzaden valley.\n\nAzzaden Trekking Lodge - For lunch, a field meal will be prepared by our skilled cook in the midst of a juniper forest, allowing you to savor the delicious food amidst nature’s tranquility. Following lunch, continue your trek down the picturesque Azzaden valley, taking in its stunning landscapes and passing through the summer village of Tamssoult, situated at an altitude of 2,250 meters. Overnight accommodation will be provided in a local guesthouse. The day’s trek will take approximately 6 hours.\n\n### Day 2: Azib n Tamsoult - Agelzim Mountain pass - Toubkal Base camp\n\n\n\nToubkal - Lunch will be enjoyed against this stunning backdrop, allowing you to refuel and recharge while surrounded by the natural beauty of the mountains. Following lunch, you’ll continue your trek to the Toubkal Refuge, where you’ll spend the night. The refuge, either Niltner Hut or Mouflon, provides basic but comfortable accommodation, typically with shared bunk rooms. This day’s trek spans approximately 7 hours.\n\n### Day 3: Toubkal base camp - Toubkal Summit - Toubkal base camp - Imlil - Marrakech\n\nToubkal - Prepare for an early start on the third day as you embark on the climb to the summit of Mount Toubkal, standing proudly at 4,167 meters. If the weather permits, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of the Atlas Range and even catch a glimpse of the vast Sahara Desert. The ascent involves a challenging climb but offers a tremendous sense of accomplishment once you reach the summit.\n\nImlil - After spending some time at the summit, taking in the awe-inspiring scenery, you’ll begin your descent. The path will lead you back past the Toubkal Refuge, retracing your steps towards Imlil. This is a long day of trekking, totaling 8 to 9 hours, with an ascent of 900 meters followed by a descent of almost 2,500 meters to reach Imlil.\n\nMarrakech - Upon arrival in Imlil, you’ll be transported back to Marrakech, typically arriving around 5:00 pm.\n\nCompleting the 3-day Mount Toubkal trek via Azzaden valley offers an unforgettable adventure, combining stunning landscapes, physical challenges, and a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
