Marrakech - The adventure to Fez begins early with a pick-up from the Marrakech hotel, crossing the High Atlas Mountains (perfect for photos) and descending into the Southern foothills to reach the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
Ait Ben Haddou - Here, visitors can cross the stepping stones in the traditional manner to explore this incredible and authentically Moroccan World Heritage site.
From there, the journey continues away from the mountains to Ouarzazate – the renowned Gateway to the Sahara, before loosely following the Dades River through stunning valleys. The day concludes with a delicious dinner and a cozy stay at a riad.
Dades – Toudgha Gorges – Merzouga – Overnight Stay with Camel Ride
Gargantas del Todra - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, the journey proceeds toward Todgha Valley to explore the valley and its gorges. Lunch is enjoyed in Tinjdad, followed by a drive to Erfoud, the fossil capital, and then to Merzouga, home to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Merzouga - A pleasant hotel break allows for relaxation, with an option to swim in the pool and prepare for the camel trek. Two hours before sunset, a camel ride lasting an hour and a half offers a breathtaking view of the sunset over the sand dunes. The night is spent at a nomad camp with dinner, followed by Berber music around the campfire. Overnight in a luxury camp.
Merzouga to Fez via Ziz Valley and Cedar Forest
Merzouga - Rising early is recommended to catch the sunrise from the top of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. Afterward, a camel ride returns to the hotel for a refreshing shower and a delightful breakfast.
Fes - The journey to Fes continues through the Atlas Mountains, passing through charming Berber towns like Erfoud, Errachidia, and the Ziz Valley. Lunch is enjoyed in the Midelt area before arriving in Fez.
