Exploring the Traditions of Marmaris - It was a nice tour to experience the village life of Marmaris. We started with a short break at a viewpoint where you can enjoy a beautiful view of Marmaris and take photos. Then we stopped at Jesus Beach and walked on the red sand – it was really amazing. Water shoes are recommended. After that, we visited a carpet factory and an olive oil factory. Both are very traditional and produce natural products. At the olive oil factory, you can buy various natural remedies for body pain (such as migraines or back pain). You can also buy honey, nuts, and more – all very delicious. Next, we had lunch and then visited the Turgut Waterfalls. It was smaller than I expected, but if there are not too many people, it’s nice to take a short bath under the waterfall. Finally, we visited an old traditional village house, where you can experience how people lived about 100 years ago, and afterwards we went to a mosque. Our tour guide was friendly, funny, and made the whole trip very enjoyable for us. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great way to explore the local life of Marmaris.

A very full day with lots to see and do - We had a great time with Sonny guiding us around many interesting places and stunning vistas. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from a lady who showed her village home to us, visited passionate artisans making carpets by hand, and pressing olive oil and other essential herbs. The off-road track to a hidden waterfall is a thrill ride on it's own, and when added to a paddle at Jesus Beach and a lovely chicken kebab lunch plus various landscape photo opportunities the day was just full of 'stuff'!

Sony our guide made the trip - Very interesting, guide Sony was excellent, mini bus air conditioned Busy everywhere. Food was good quality but drinks to buy were extortionate. Best thing for me was the olives and the Frankincense in oil is beautiful in smell and on skin.
