Next, spend 2 and 1/2 hours with Dionysia to become acquainted with clay and craft your own distinctive ceramic keepsakes from Zakynthos island. The standard project involves making two pieces: a turtle and a second, more free-form piece (such as a bowl or tile). The shape, style, and decoration of these pieces are guided by your imagination and creativity! Your ceramics will be left to dry in the sun, after which Dionysia will glaze and fire them. They will be ready to collect from the kiln 72 hours (3 days) after the workshop, subject to weather conditions and our kiln firing schedule.

Following the workshop, take a stroll through our farm and admire some of the oldest olive trees in Zakynthos.

Craft your own ceramics under the guidance of ceramic artist Dionysia Avouri, the proprietor of Adamieion Ceramic Art Studio. During the workshop, you will create a turtle and a second, more abstract piece, with the style and decoration reflecting your own creativity and imagination! Your creations will be fired, and you can either collect them after three days or have them shipped to your home. The studio is nestled in a delightful setting among olive trees and vineyards. Marvel at some of the island’s oldest olive trees, over 1,000 years old! You, your friends, and your children are invited to enjoy playing and creating with clay, away from the bustling tourist areas.
