If you want to go sailing in the Caribbean, this is the trip to take! - After searching through endless trips promising a “sailing experience” but really ending up being jammed onto a catamaran (usually without unfurling sails and using power only) with forty or so folks getting the most from the open bar (been there, done that and didn’t enjoy the experience), we finally found Captain Febrice and his 12 meter Jeanneau. We booked the trip and fortunately for us, the wind was gusting to 20 knots and, once out of the crowded marina, we short sheeted the main but ran with a full jib. Captain Febrice is very experienced (he sailed “No Name” from Marseilles to St. Martin) and encouraged everyone to get involved, which we happily did. Luckily I took the helm as the wind and swells picked up so it was a great ride. I have had quite a bit of sailing experience, but that was not an issue as Captain Febrice, who teaches sailing classes, took everyone under his wing to show them the joys of sailing. There were only four of us (crew) with the Captain and one had never been on a sailboat before. His smile was huge as he took the wheel! If you want a sailing trip in the beautiful Caribbean waters off St. Martin, book with “The Soul of Pirates” and Captain Febrice. You will see why all of his reviews, like mine, are 5 Stars!

Time and money well spent - The captain is very personable and accommodating. He made our time together very entertaining and we enjoyed it so much. We would do it again and recommend it for everyone to experience.

Amazing day of sailing - Our family of 6 with two younger children had a wonderful time on our trip. Captain Fabrice was so great and gave us the best experience. He explained our options and the weather and let us make a choice about how the trip would go. The kids loved the pirate adventure portion of our sail and my youngest still regularly talks about captain Fabrice months later and how one day he will sail a boat across the whole ocean too!

A great trip! - Fabrice is a great captain and did a wonderful job of filling our afternoon with a great sail and some cool snorkeling. We really enjoyed being on a smaller boat with fewer people, which turned out to only be the 5 in our group.

Go! - Pay no attention to the one bad review. This trip is well worth it. Captain Fabrice is great and the trip for our group was perfect. Didn’t have much wind for sailing but he made the most of it. Our favorite activity in St Martin for sure. This is perfect for couples or a small group that wants to avoid the booze cruises and loud music. We took the afternoon cruise and docked as the sun was setting. 10/10!

An Awesome Sailing Experience! - Such an amazing morning sailing with Captain Fabrice! Seeing St. Martin from the water was so beautiful, and the weather was perfect as we sailed around the island. Great music, strong pirate punch, and a wonderful experience!

Afternoon sail! - Our family of 3 enjoyed sailing with Captain Fabrice for the afternoon. Our 9 year old daughter loved the pirate theme. We snorkeled a bit and saw a turtle! It was great to see the coast of St. Martin from the sailboat. We enjoyed the rum punch at the end as well!

This is Sailing!!! - This is a beautiful sailing vessel. Captain Fabrice gave me the helm and let me sail while giving great tips and instructions. We sailed the whole time and only motored on and off the slip. If you want to sail, this is the one for you!

Great trip for people who want to actually sail - Captain Fabrice was amazing! I had a great trip, learned a lot from him about sailing, and he tailored the trip to what I was interested in doing. He’s a great guy and I had a fun, relaxing time. He’s an experienced and great sailor. I’d highly recommend this trip for someone who wants to sail and not just motor around like you often get with other tours.
