Marathon 1/2 day. - Very knowledgeable and pleasant tour guide/driver. This was a much quieter tour than a tour of the Acropolis. A nice break and important history.

Fantastic experience! - We had a fantastic morning with Andreas touring the battlefield and tombs and then swimming in Marathon. Andreas was super friendly, punctual and knowledgeable, very highly recommended!

Great trip! - Alexandros was very knowledgeable and did a great job on the trip to Marathon. Drove the route of the run, great narration. Very safe driver! Thx and congratulations to him for an excellent trip.

Very good. It was great to see Battlefields from ancient battles. - Seeing the Battlefields was great. We got plenty of pictures that we can show to friends. We loved our tour guide by the name of Alexander. He made the long car rides between Battlefields enjoyable with his knowledge of history.

Athens to Marathon - The driver knew his way around, and his history, the real history not Hollywood legend. I will deffinately use Olive Sea again!

Lovely trip to Marathon - We had a lovely tour to Marathon accompanied by our driver George. If you are interested in classical antiquity and particularely the greco-persian wars, I would highly recommend this.
The Marathon museum and monuments are not particularely spectacular compared to what you can see in Athens, but visiting the place of one of ancient history most important battles was a fulfilling experience for history enthusiasts. The view from the vantage point was terrific. You could get a great overview of the Marthon valley and imagine how it all played out 2500 years ago.
George had great knowledge and was eager to explain details of the battle. He was very accomodating and it was also lovely chatting with him about other topics.

Incredible tour, highly recommend - Alex was an amazing guide and incredibly Knowledgeable about so many topics. Our attraction to this tour was to see the birthplace of the first marathon run, and it was an unforgettable experience. But the history made it so much more than we could have dreamt of.
