- Marangu - This day trip involves hiking the Marangu Route up to Mandara Hut. Please note, this trek does not reach the summit. All short treks are available on a private basis and can commence any day of the year. These treks are perfect for those who enjoy hiking. Experience the thrill of trekking on Africa’s highest peak. A certified Kilimanjaro guide is required for all treks within Tanzania National Park, and the Marangu route is the only one permitting short treks.
- Chagga Museum - After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide and drive to the Kilimanjaro National Park Gate (approximately 1 to 2 hours). After registration, begin the climb. Walk through the rainforest to reach the Mandara encampment. A side trip to Maundi Crater offers a great view of the surroundings, including Northern Tanzania and Kenya. In the rainforest, look out for towering Eucalyptus trees, diverse birdlife, and Colobus monkeys.

These brief excursions are designed for hiking enthusiasts, who will be thrilled by the experience of trekking on Africa’s tallest mountain peak. Please be aware that all treks within the Tanzania National Park require the assistance of a Kilimanjaro-certified guide, and only the Marangu route permits short treks.

Fun and enriching experience!!! - We booked two day trips, the first day to Kilimanjaro with just an hour hike to Materuni waterfalls, coffee village tour with their Chagga traditional dance and Chemka hotsprings, and the second day to Lake Duluti, canoeing by our selves in an amazing environment and we also took a bicycle ride. We had two amazing days with our guide Joel!!!! He was great fun, very flexible to our needs, everything was beautifully organized and he is a professional photographer!!! He took amazing pictures of us and we are really thankful for that!! Hakuna Matata!

Knowledgable and Fun - 5 stars all around! Our gyide Emmanuel was very educated and experienced. You 100% can tell he loves what he does. We travled with our 2 teens. He was so engaing and helped push them through the last couple miles. The kids' favorite was the monkeys! The lunch was very well done as well. Our driver was so entertaining and spoke 5 languages! In short I don't believe you could find better.

Kilimanjaro Kings! - So glad we went. Our guides were considerate and paved themselves to the limitations of our group ( some bad knees) and extremely knowledgeable. They carried our food and water and even carried one gal’s day pack. This is not an easy stroll and they made sure we were comfortable and safe. Highly recommend this tour group. A huge shout out to Kareem, our driver. The trip back to Arusha was challenging because of market day traffic and he did a stellar job.

Best day hike at Kilimanjaro! - This is the perfect day trip for anyone interested in Kilimanjaro. Emmanuel was our tour guide with Telly African safaris and he picked us up from our hotel promptly at 6:00. We drove through Moshi and to the National park gate where we began our climb. We were a little nervous about hiking in the high elevation, but Emmanuel insisted we climb slowly, “pole, pole” and take sips of water, we quickly became accustomed to the altitude. This is a moderate hike with well- groomed trails. There’s nice toilet facilities with running water, soap and toilet paper stationed about every 1.5 hours!!! We hiked up to the crater, down and out, and then descended. It was a clear day and you could see Kenya and the top of Kilo from our vantage point. This is a beautiful hike with running glacier streams and waterfalls along the way. Almost all of the hike is shaded and you walk under the beautiful rain forest canopy. Spotting monkeys along the way was fun. This entire hike up and back was about 9 hours with lunch. And, I must mention, Emanuel carried our backpack the entire way and brought the must yummy lunch for us to eat on picnic tables at Mandela Hut. Can’t say enough about this wonderful day hike!!

Day Hike at Kilimanjaro - We did the day hike of Kilimanjaro. The day prior, the manager and guide came to our hotel to give us information and we left early the next morning. The guide was very knowledgeable and extremely pleasant to have around. Everyone was extremely communicative, the price was extremely fair, the company is very reliable, and I felt extremely happy at the end. I would definitely recommend.
