Arusha – Ngorongoro Crater

Ngorongoro Crater - Guests will meet a professional tour guide/driver in Arusha town, who will provide a brief safari information session. Following this, the journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area begins. Arrival is scheduled in time for lunch at the lodge. After lunch, the group will descend over 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for an afternoon wildlife game drive. The crater, with its year-round water supply and grazing, supports a diverse range of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. A major attraction of this scenic national park is its dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which may require a trained eye to spot. The tour will include a visit to Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is a key feature of the crater. Here, visitors can often see large numbers of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds.

Ngorongoro Crater – Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

Lake Manyara National Park - After breakfast, with a picnic lunch in hand, the group will transfer to Lake Manyara National Park. The morning will be spent on a game drive in this park, which is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically situated wildlife areas. It features a vast, shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitat attracts a wide array of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, the rare tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae. After the game drive, the group will return to Arusha, concluding the African safari adventure. Guests will be transported to their hotel, marking the end of the safari package services.
