Experience a leisurely 2.5-hour snorkeling and walking tour at Cabbage Tree Bay Aquatic Reserve in Manly, conveniently located near Sydney. This tour, available in the morning or afternoon, offers both novice and seasoned snorkelers the opportunity to explore Australia’s diverse marine life. The adventure begins right from the beach, where calm waters host a variety of marine species. Additionally, your guide will lead your small group, capped at 8 participants, on a brief walk along the headland, providing stunning views of the Northern Beaches.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes suitable for walking
- Please bring swimwear, sunscreen, hat and towel
- Please note: wetsuit options are available to use on the day of travel: rash vest, spring wetsuit (short arms and legs) and steamers (full body suit)
- All participants must be able to swim 150 meters unassisted, float and tread water
- All medical requirements must be declared to our staff once booking is confirmed.
- Please note pregnant participants are not permitted to join the tour
- Children must be accompanied by an adult

We meet at Shelly Beach Manly in front of Boat House Cafe on the sand next to Palm trees. Look for our staff and flag. Arrive 5-10mins before tour start time.

Magical Experience - Cabbage Tree Bay, Manly, NSW - What a great experience! For anyone interested in spending some quality time experiencing the beautiful local marine ecosystems of greater Sydney, this is an absolute must. Our guide (Damien, if I remember correctly) was fantastic and very personable… and the local marine life were such gracious, peaceful and serene hosts!

This was a fantastic... - This was a fantastic tour. We had the best snorkeling guide! He was very knowledgeable and kind. He dealt with the flimsy weather very well and we got to really appreciate and enjoy the water.

Lovely guided snorkel - We had a great time on the 1.5 hour snorkel with a short nature walk to kick things off. It was a nice snorkel in Cabbage Tree Aquatic Reserve and we saw several kinds of fish. We even got lucky and saw two wobbegong sharks! Damien was a great guide, super knowledgeable, and made sure everyone felt safe. We appreciated that all gear was provided. It was a small group experience too, so it felt comfortable without feeling overcrowded.

A great experience! - It was a great experience. I have never experienced such a beautiful snorkel tour. While swimming you will encounter sea turtles, different species of rays and large schools of fish in all sizes.
The guidance during the tour is also very good. This gives you a safe and comforting feeling, especially if you are excited about swimming among the sea creatures.
Definitely recommended.

Shelly beach Snorkel B and B - If you enjoy snorkelling this is the trip for you. There is a huge variety of fish to see and if you are lucky the turtle will come and swim with you. Groups are small and our guide Laura was very attentive and ensured we got the best experience ensuring everyone was comfortable with their gear throughout the snorkelling trip. We started with a hike overlooking Shelly beach as seen on the Bold and Beautiful! So thrilled we made it here.

Awesome experience - The small group Manly snorkel tour was amazing. Our family of 4 had Damien as our amazing guide. The meeting place was easy to find. The upfront communication with Ecotreasures was perfect - helpful reminders, etc. The land portion, or nature walk, was informative and very useful especially because we planned to spend the balance of the tour of our tour on Manly. Damien had great recommendations, including sending us to a fantastic Thai lunch spot that there is no way we would have found otherwise. The snorkeling was amazing. Damien struck the perfect balance between performing as a guide and also letting us go at our own pace. I always feel like the trait of a good guide on a small group is a guide who has the energy and passion as if it is their first tour, but the expertise and knowledge as if it is their 1,000th tour, and that describes Damien EXACTLY. If you are considering this trip, don't hesitate. Book with confidence and you will not regret it.

A must if visiting Manly - I had an amazing snorkelling experience this morning with Eco Treasures. We saw a rich variety of marine life, and because the instructor takes you further out into the bay than you’d normally go on your own, you get to see even more wildlife. We were also shown around the local nature reserve on foot which was beautiful, our tour guide educated us on the history of the sea and land in the local area which was so interesting.
Our instructor, Damien, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and experienced. I felt completely at ease and knew I was in safe hands with him out in the water.
I would highly recommend Eco Treasures to anyone visiting Manly. This snorkelling trip has been one of the highlights of my time in Australia, and I will come again in future.

Enjoyed my experience - Thoroughly enjoyed my walk and snorkel. Lauren was an excellent guide. Friendly, kind, knowledgeable and attentive to everyone. I am traveling solo, but great to interact with Lauren and the others in our group. Wish the sun came out sooner. Even so, enjoyed seeing rays, grouper, and numerous other fish at Shelly Beach. Great experience!
