- Mandurah War Memorial - Upon entering the main canal, to the left, the Mandurah War Memorial can be seen. Designed by the award-winning architects Hames Sharley and completed in 2005, the War Memorial stands as an iconic tribute to the significant contributions of Australian servicemen and women, and others who served, suffered, or died in wartime conflicts. Water flowing through the monument into the estuary mimics the tide’s gentle lapping at Anzac Cove. The pillars emerging from the water symbolize the physical journey and emotional tension of soldiers who bravely stormed the beaches and rose from the trenches to confront the challenges before them. The Memorial’s east/west orientation is crafted to align with the sun’s axis on ANZAC Day, where at dawn, the rising sun illuminates the columns, creating a temporary guiding light to the memorial’s highest peak.
- Creery Wetlands Nature Reserve - The Creery Wetlands is an internationally recognized 29-hectare nature reserve, serving as a crucial habitat for waterbirds, including 22 species of migratory shorebirds. In Mandurah, cormorants, black swans, and pelicans are frequently spotted around the waterways.
- Mandjar Bay - Mandjar Bay encompasses the inland waterways near the foreshore. Visitors will pass by a large Moreton Bay Fig, believed to have been planted around 1930. This is one of many trees in the local area registered on the Significant Tree Register, an initiative that protects native and exotic trees in the community for their visual, scientific, ecological, historical, and cultural significance. The tree stands 15 meters tall and has a canopy spreading over 10 meters wide.
