Mandalay - Begin the day by boarding the Metta cruise and embarking on a journey along the majestic river. After an hour, the first stop will be at Mingun Village. Stroll through this renowned village, where you will encounter the pagoda-studded landscape of MINGUN, a regional highlight. The visit will feature the MINGUN BELL, the world’s largest un-cracked bell, weighing 90 tons. Continue to the HSINBYUME pagoda and the unfinished MINGUN pagoda, intended to be one of the world’s largest chedis by King Bodaw Paya.
Proceed with the cruise up the river. Enjoy lunch on board. Visit a local village called Myaezun, where, if fortune favors, Ayerwaddy dolphins can be seen in various seasons. Spend the night in a village before reaching Nwe Nyein. Dinner will be served on board.
Nwe Nyein Village - Hanlin - Kyauk Myaung
Kyauk Taw Gyi Pagoda - After breakfast on board, explore the renowned pottery village of Nwe Nyein. Wander around the village to gain insightful knowledge of pottery and glazing techniques. Continue ashore to Hanlin, one of the most ancient civilizations of the Pyu era in Myanmar. Hanlin is one of the Pyu Ancient Cities, located 13 kilometers from the river, requiring nearly a one-and-a-half-hour drive. Today, Hanlin is recognized as a World Heritage Site due to its unique remains. Visit the Archaeological Museum, excavations, graveyards, silver coins, inscriptions in Pyu script, and bronze ornaments. According to archaeological findings, the Pyu ancient people lived from the 2nd century BC until the 9th century AD, trading with China and India, and spoke Tibeto-Burman languages. Return to the cruise for lunch and continue sailing. Dinner will be served on board.
