- King Galon Gold Leaf Workshop - Situated on 36th Street, the King Galon Gold Leaf Workshop is one of several places where the delicate process of creating gold leaf squares, approximately 1.5 inches in size, is performed. The process involves taking a 2oz gold button and rolling it into a ribbon about 3/4 inch wide and 20 feet long. This ribbon is then cut into 800 equal pieces. Bundles of 200 pieces, each separated by paper, are hammered until they become flatter. The pieces are then cut smaller and the process is repeated several times. It takes three men with large hammers about 6 hours to transform the gold into thin leaves. By the end of the day, they have produced around 2900 gold leaves from a single gold button.
- Mahamuni Pagoda - The Mahamuni Buddha Temple, located southwest of Mandalay, Myanmar, is a significant Buddhist temple and pilgrimage site. It houses the revered Mahamuni Buddha image, originally from Arakan.

Here, skilled woodworkers carve intricate objects, ranging from small animals to medium-sized furniture and large panels for houses. The detail in the carvings is both intricate and fascinating.

- Shwekyimyint Paya - Shwe Kyi Myin Pagoda, also known as Shwe Kyee Myin or Shwe Kyi Myint, is located on 24th Street between 82nd and 83rd Streets. It is likely one of the oldest pagodas in Mandalay.
- Skinny Buddha - The Skinny Buddha in Mandalay is an extraordinary depiction of Buddha, who is typically portrayed as well-nourished. Built in 2011, this remarkable 75-foot tall seated Buddha is a “meditation image” that stylistically blends manga caricature and Cubism. It represents Buddha during his meditation phase under the tree.
- Mandalay Palace - Mandalay Palace, located in Mandalay, Myanmar, is the last royal palace of the Burmese monarchy. Constructed between 1857 and 1859, it was part of King Mindon’s establishment of the new royal capital city of Mandalay.

Situated at the foot of Mandalay Hill, it was built during King Mindon’s reign. The gilded stupa, modeled after the Shwezigon Pagoda at Nyaung-U near Bagan, stands 188 feet (57 m) tall. The pagoda grounds contain 729 stone-inscription caves, each with a marble slab inscribed on both sides with a page from the Tripitaka, the complete Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism.
