A feast for the football historian. - I visited for the first time yesterday. I was in Manchester anyway so it was convenient. The exhibits are mainly on level one and there are plenty of them. For people like myself who are interested in the social history of the game, it was really good although I’d recommend one of the guided tours which are free of charge. I was shown round in a small group of just three of us by a female member of staff (name not recalled but a Sheff Wednesday fan), who was great, very knowledgeable and who made the tour interesting. Probably best to go midweek when fewer people being shown round? Level two is devoted to the history of black players in the game which was okay and which I understand is a temporary exhibit. Level two is meant to be interactive but I didn’t venture inside preferring to amble round the much better level one again. There’s a well-stocked shop inevitably which concentrates on the big clubs of course but I didn’t feel tempted to buy anything. For young fans, this may be a bit too historic in terms of subject matter but for me - I’m in my early 60s - this was a couple of hours very well spent.

Excellent - Excellent museum with lots to see and do for both adults and kids. Son loved the interactive parts although only disappointment was we couldn’t afford the foden signed shirt, maybe some day

Couldn't get better! #NFM - The Museum is a jewel in the lovely Exchange Plaza in Manchester. The architecture is also amazing. There is just soooo much to do and it feels kinda overwhelming to be there but once you are settled in it's the best Museum you could visit in this incredible city! There is also a play section that you can visit and there is a penalty shootout with a virtual goalkeeper(it's 3£ for 3 shots but it's worth it). In general it's so fun to learn about the history of football and how it has evolved to be this wonderful and emotional game it is today... Just legendary!

A lot of Walking involved, Location could be better. - Seeing I have a Walker and got there by taxi, it was quite a walk for me, got near the Entrance, and my knees were aching, they both came and helped me to the Entrance. Later on I needed to get help to get up from the Bench, the man who was very very helpful was telling me about the memorabilia in the glass cabinets, Unfortunately I needed to go toilet, then I had somewhere else to go, so he offered to take me there, there is a glass elevator, if you don't like these, going there may be a problem, but I held on tight to the bar

Enjoyable way to spend a few hours learning and interacting with soccer! - Visiting because of a soccer mad 10-year old, this was easy to get to and a close walk from our hotel (Treehouse). Very well organised and spacious, we walked slowly to read all of the history items which had good interspersion of interactive elements - there's a fair bit of reading so adults are slow and kids are just looking at things - so the interactive elements is good for them while we read! One of the staff told us the whole story personally about Pickles the dog. Our son's mind was blown when we got to the top level though and he could go crazy in the virtual reality and all the physical challenges. The staff member who was on the additional paid challenge to kick for goals was so kind and interactive with both my son and my husband. It wasn't too busy and we really didn't have to wait to use any of the challenge rooms - we went at 3pm (closes at 5pm) so not sure if that's why it was a bit quieter maybe. Really enjoyable way to spend a few hours if you're a fan of sport and soccer.

That's right. - The historical materials themselves were well-stocked and I enjoyed them, but I think we could devise a little more floor space outside of the exhibition. 3,000 yen might feel a little expensive.

Boring - Great disappointment, fine with a little activity, but expected a lot more. Too little to look at in relation to expectations
