Meeting of Waters - Amazon Lodge
Day 1:
The adventure begins with a pickup in Manaus, followed by a journey to Ceasa Port. Here, a speedboat awaits to take you to the first stop along the Rio Negro river at the meeting of the waters. This is where the black Rio Negro and the brown Solimões rivers flow side by side without mixing, creating a mesmerizing sight. The next destination is the floating village of Catalão, where you can visit a fish farm and witness the Giant Arapaima Gigas, a formidable creature of the Amazon.

The journey continues to the Careiro village, followed by an hour-long ride and a speedboat trip to Maçarico Lake. Arrival at the Amazon Peacock Paradise Ecolodge is around 11:30 a.m., with a delightful lunch served at noon.

At 3:30 p.m., a canoe trip offers the chance to spot the Amazon Pink River Dolphin and a variety of vibrant birds during the excursion.

Joshua’s Amazon Expeditions will guide participants on an Amazon Jungle adventure to the Amazon Boto Lodge, situated approximately 110 km in a straight line from Manaus in a very isolated location. Here, guests can relax to the sounds of the jungle and explore the area by trekking through untouched rainforest. During this journey, there will be opportunities for fishing, trekking, caiman spotting at night, witnessing the sunrise, bird watching, and experiencing the magnificent Meeting of the Waters of the Rio Negro and Solimões.
