Salinas de Manaure - Located in the La Guajira region, the Manaure Salt Flats provide an unforgettable experience in exploring the ancient art of salt extraction. This breathtaking landscape, adorned with crystalline salt pools, showcases the ancestral expertise of local communities who have honed this craft over generations.

The itinerary begins with an engaging exploration of the salt extraction process, allowing visitors to closely observe the meticulous work of local workers. From the crystallization of salt in the expansive salt flats to the manual harvesting, each step highlights the profound connection between the land and the diligent hands that nurture it.

Cabo de La Vela - Following the visit to the salt flats, there will be a brief stop in Uribia for snacks and restroom breaks. The journey to Cabo de La Vela will take approximately 2 hours. Upon arrival, lunch will be served at the accommodation.

Playa Arcoiris - While swimming is not permitted here, visitors can enjoy the stunning rainbows created when water splashes against the rocks.

Pilon de Azucar - This sacred site for the Wayuu community offers the option of hiking to the summit or capturing photos of this small mountain.

Playa Dorada - Known for its calm waters and beautiful yellow sand, Playa Dorada is one of the most renowned beaches in Cabo de La Vela, providing ample space for relaxation.

Playa Ojo De Agua - A remarkable spot to witness the sunset while enjoying a swim in the beautiful waters or simply appreciating the view.

Faro, Cabo de la Vela - Visiting this location is optional, and travelers can decide together whether to watch the sunset here. Sometimes, Playa Ojo de Agua is recommended due to limited space when crowded.

Punta Gallinas

Punta Gallinas - After witnessing a beautiful sunrise, breakfast will be served before departing for Punta Gallinas. The journey includes passing through the Wind Farm, Bahía Portete, Bahía Honda (where lunch may be taken), Bahía Hondita, and the Taroa Dunes. Between March and May, strong winds carry Sahara Desert dust to enhance the dunes, meeting the majestic Caribbean Sea. The trip continues to the Mirador de Casares for a stunning bay view, followed by a visit to the Punta Gallinas Lighthouse, the northernmost point in South America. The day concludes with dinner and rest at the accommodation.

Parque eólico Jepírachi - This renowned park in La Guajira features large structures that supply energy to much of the department and the country.

Bahia Portete - The tour offers beautiful views of various bays, including Portete Bay.

Bahia Honda - Another bay to admire on the route from Cabo de La Vela to Punta Gallinas.

Bahia Hondita - The final bay to appreciate before reaching the magnificent Punta Gallinas.

Dunas de Taroa - Upon arrival at Punta Gallinas, the impressive Taroa Dunes await, a stunning expanse of Sahara Desert sand. Visitors can enjoy a refreshing swim in the cold waters that meet the dunes.

Mayapo

Playas de Mayapo - Departing the inn around 7 am, the journey leads to the beaches of Mayapo. This destination is perfect for water sports, thanks to favorable winds, waves, and sandy beaches. After approximately 40 minutes, travelers will reach their accommodation in Riohacha or continue their adventure.
