Volcanos, lagoons, wildlife, and a boat ride! - We had an excellent tour with Eliad! Saw everything we wanted to see and skipped the parts that we found less interesting. Big shout out to Eliad who was flexible, fun, and extremely engaging. He's also an wonderful, safe driver, and the nice truck with AC was much appreciated. Highly recommend this tour and would also suggest paying the small upcharge for the boat ride through Las Isletas de Granada! That was easily my wife's favorite part.

Amazing Guide and Tour - We had an unforgettable experience on the Granada and Masaya Volcano tour and it was truly elevated by our guide, Michael. From the very beginning, he was warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable, making the entire day flow seamlessly. He was extremely flexible allowing us the flexibility of spending our time on what was most important to us. We actually had him 2 days in a row and had plenty of great experiences. He made our trip much more enjoyable.
Michael’s depth of knowledge about the history and local culture added to the experience. He took the time to explain fascinating details about the volcano’s activity and the unique landscape of these iconic Nicaraguan sites, and his insights made every stop more meaningful. What impressed us most was Michael’s attentiveness and care he made sure everyone was comfortable, answered all our questions, and offered thoughtful suggestions for photos and local insights.
He truly went above and beyond to ensure we got the most out of the tour.Whether it was exploring the breathtaking crater views at night or islets on Lake Granada. Michael made the adventure feel personal and unforgettable. This tour is an absolute must if you’re in the Granada/Managua area!Highly recommended!

Top notch excursion and tour guide - If you desire a deeper understanding of Nicaraguan history and its culture, this excursion is for you. Esdras is a very knowledgeable tour guide who is passionate about sharing his perspective about Nicaragua. I thoroughly enjoyed our dialogue as well as the sites we visited. I left with a better understanding of the Nicaraguan people and the country pride they display.
I would recommend the Masaya, Granada and Apoyo excursion to anyone visiting Managua.

Exceptional; Granada, boating, volcano crater lake swim and paddle board, finished with live molten lava volcano. Lucky with we - Guide offered option of seeing the "live" volcano during day or night. Apparently in the later afternoon it can shut because of rain but we rolled the dice and it worked out really well. Should mention both our guides spoke English, arrived right on time at our hotel in a new airconditioned 4x4 Nissan diesel pickup.
We started off with Granada, a walk through downtown with a couple of churches with lots of history from the local guides. There was a lot of beautification work going on in the main square so today some of it was inaccessible.
Next we had ( again private) a motorboat ride through mangroves and inlets of Granada. Cool trees with a variety of wildlife including many birds and some local monkeys. It's a relaxing ride through very small islands on which many have houses owned by the countries richest. You can get a beer or some food in the "harbour" if wanted.
Next stop was to a lake in Apoyo volcano crater. You do have to pay a small amount for entry and you can buy beer or wine or food in the place. They have a couple of rafts most people swim to and many kayaks and paddleboard/ watercraft that are no additional charge. The water was ( guessing) 86f so nice and warm.
We spent about 3 hours there as we needed to wait to see the volcano at night and traffic was quite light.
You have to ( in the vehicle) line up which took us a total of about 1/2 hr to get in as you are only allowed 10 minutes in the volcano area. Got some great shots of the red "boiling " caldron. Just unbelievable that you are allowed there, at home it would be roped off 10 miles away. They then dropped us off at our hotel.
As I say , we perhaps got lucky with everything, but it was a fantastic day and well worth it.

Very much Reccomend this tour and tour company. - I would fully reccomend the people doing this tour. They were really good, great information.about the country. Picked us up in a very new truck, obviously had AC. It said private tour but I thought that just meant a smaller bus, but it was just my wife and I. Communication was very good as they spoke English and we don't understand much Spanish. The Volcano at night was amazing, a really nice swim in the lake in the crater of a different non-active volcano. The water was nice an warm, very relaxing. We Visited The Downtown Granada and the guides gave us history lessons.

Fun excursion! - From the moment I booked the excursion, communication was easy and efficient. My tour guide Gilber was very informative and great! Rafael is a great driver as well. I love that the excursion is able to see several great sights of Nicaragua, a must tour! My absolute favorite was swimming in a crater lake, Laguna de Apoyo. It's so peaceful and relaxing there. I also enjoyed the hike at Volcán Masaya— I'm not much of a hiker, but I'd do it again! Beautiful view from the top!
