Today, it remains a bustling stretch filled with eateries and local shops. Here, we’ll pause to sample some authentic Indian flavors, including a plate of delicious mee goreng, a classic stir-fried noodle dish that showcases Melaka’s diverse culinary heritage.
• Jalan Bunga Raya - Longkang Siham, literally meaning “clam by the drain,” is a renowned local food spot in Melaka with a history of serving fresh shellfish and street snacks for decades. Popular among both locals and adventurous visitors, this humble open-air eatery captures the city’s old-school charm. Here, we’ll try two local favorites—grilled sotong bakar with its smoky aroma and spicy dipping sauce, as well as the refreshing, tangy-sweet rojak, a fruit and vegetable salad that perfectly balances flavors.
