Best guided tour of Malacca - We had a fantastic trip to Malacca. Thiva picked us up from our hotel in Kuala Lumpur and drove us down to Malacca. On the way explained about Malaysia and it's history, very entertaining. In Malacca he took us through the colonial periods and the impact on today's Malacca. A super lunch at Our kitchen Nyonya restaurant and finished with a tour through the Portuguese area. It was lovely to listen to Thiva being proud of his home town.

Heritage Tour in Malacca - We did the Heritage tour of Malacca with our guide, Amin. He was terrific - knowledgeable, humorous and took us to off the beaten path places. I would certainly suggest that if you are doing this type of tour in Malacca, you contact Amin through Asian Trails.

Malacca, a mix between Dutch and Porugese history - During our trip to Malaysia I was very much looking forward to visiting Malacca, according to the guides a city with many Dutch influences. Outside of a number of Dutch street names and buildings I actually found it disappointing. Jonker street was more of a chain of Chinese shops with knickknacks. The river that winds through the city is very dirty, the other streets are very difficult to pass through due to large wells, open sewers etc. You can also see the large buildings advancing, which does not really benefit the "nostalgia". Swiss Garden Hotel/The Majestic is such an example, surrounded by old houses a hideously bombastic building, hotel annex shopping mall (which is almost completely empty). The zone of the palace is very pimped up, clean, flowers and plants and nebulizers to keep the plants and flowers alive. The people, like almost everywhere else in Malaysia, are very friendly and helpful. The restaurants are very chaotic (we usually go to food joints wherever the locals go) but with great food and very low prices

First of all, it was not organized. the driver didn't knew that everything is included. And it says in their itirenary that entrance fees with the S, it means plural, not 1 entrance fee. we didn't got a tour guide that was included. The lunch.. OMG... last minute arrangement and it was not good at all. A fiasco lunch.... I think this tour should be deleted from Viator... NOT WORTH THE PRICE AT ALL. The total experience was not good at all.. it was BAD.... really BAD and i will not... nor never will i recommend this tour.... they just tricked us. THe driver and the company didn't have any good communications at all. Don't write on your itirenary if it's not included and don't over price because it's not worth every penny. DON'T BUY THIS TOUR IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET TRICKED.</p>
