Special birthday treat - Really quiet tranquil place. Bed not a comfortable as hoped. The restaurant was good, lovely views although floor had food on it, should of been cleaned. If you stay there you get access out of hours to the gardens and it was wonderful to stroll around. Would go back

Worth it - Very nice overall experience. The castle itself is OK. We also appreciated the fact that there was a Dutch audio guide, which is apparently not so obvious in Britain after all. What bothered us a bit about the castle, was the decor. There has been a fair deviation from the original. The castle is not going to make me remember this visit in many years, I'm afraid. Too bad about our visit it was way too hot weather (35 degrees), which meant that we didn't get to fully enjoy the surroundings around the castle. There are beautiful gardens and forests. There was also a super fun treasure hunt for children about important women. Very nice job! So plan your visit carefully. Take plenty of time and go on a day when the weather is ideal for you.

Leeds Castle Afternoon Tea - Leeds Castle Afternoon Tea Review Absolutely loved the afternoon tea experience at Leeds Castle! 🏰✨ The setting was beautiful, with some of the best views of the castle, making it such a lovely and memorable experience. The customer service was amazing from start to finish, and the afternoon tea itself was beautifully presented. Everything was fresh, delicious and well prepared, from the freshly baked treats to the sandwiches. The glass of wine served alongside the afternoon tea was such a lovely touch and made the experience feel even more special and different. 🍷🫖 A beautiful setting, wonderful service and delicious food — I would highly recommend the Leeds Castle afternoon tea to anyone looking for a special and relaxing experience! ❤️

A Great day out and a fabulous castle! - Its been several years since we last visited Leeds Castle but we were not disappointed. The entry fee covers the majority of activities within the grounds so was good value and having all the vehicles to look at around the moat well was great. It was a boiling hot day, and if this weather continues in the future it would be good to have some areas of artificial shade to escape the heat. The natural shade was very busy. The castle is amazing, such history and so well maintained. The grounds are wonderful and lots of activities for the kids to do and to enjoy. There was a lot of thought gone into all the information boards and the small sheds that are on the main paths. Instruments to play and information to learn from, teddies to bandage and wooden horses to ride. The play area and wooden castle looked amazing, if only I was 50 years younger! It was too hot for the Falconry Display but such wonderful birds. There were lots of toilets across the site and areas to buy drinks and snacks. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. And if you buy an explorer ticket you get 12 months of being able to return for free, amazing!

Amazing all round experience - Stayed in the stable yard Windsor room which was beautiful and right in the middle of everything- lots to see and do, the castle is beautiful and the food served in the castle view restaurant was superb with a stunning terrace overlooking the castle - staff were all amazing cannot recommend it highly enough

Memorable experience in a dreamy castle. - We recently visited Leeds castle and had a memorable trip with family. It is probably one of the prettiest castles I have ever been too. The park area is huge and very well maintained. They have lots of activities for all age groups. The birds of prey experience was one of the highlights of the trip. The ferry ride was short but sweet. My only complaint would be food options were not the greatest and slightly overpriced. Would definitely recommend and we would be visiting soon.

A full day of fun and adventures - I hadn’t been to Leeds Castle for over 30 years and I was really impressed with the whole experience. There was so much to do and see and so many different places to explore. It is fantastic for children but we enjoyed the castle, the crazy golf course, the birds of prey, the restaurant (which was actually affordable) also the boat and train trips which were part of the tickets. We had a great time there and the grounds were just amazing. I almost forgot the maze which was actually quite difficult! Along with the gift shops, eateries and plenty of toilets it was the perfect day out. And return entry for a year, what more could you possibly want.

Pretty but overpriced and disappointing - We visited Kent this summer and chose to visit Leeds Castle above other castles due to it's combination of beautiful grounds and history. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with our visit and only stayed a couple of hours in the end. Leeds Castle is undeniably beautiful from the outside and the grounds leading up to the castle were stunning. Unfortunately that is the only positive thing I can say for our party. Upon entering the grounds and getting our ticket the member of staff who served us let us know that multimedia guides were available and if not members of staff would be around to tell us about the castle. Whilst in the Castle we saw 2 members of staff, one who stood at the entrance to ensure the one way system was followed and one on the upper level who ensured people were not wearing backpacks, other than that there were no members of staff to ask questions or get further information about the rooms. The only way to access any information about the grounds or inside the castle was via their 'multimedia tours', which was a headset and handheld device. If listening to an audio guide is inaccessible for you then you will not get any information. One of our party was hard of hearing and another has sensory issues and gets overwhelmed with things on their head (headphones). Initially we did not think this would be an issue but once in the Castle there was little to no information available around the castle in a written format. We walked room to room with absolutely no idea what we were looking at due to the lack of information available. However, there was information available in several rooms that showed how the venue could be booked privately to host events/weddings. The only way further information could be retrieved about one of the previous owners of the castle was an AI projection that could answer questions conversationally. Personally I found this a bit dystopian and quite sad as previously members of staff would be employed to share this knowledge/dress up/tell historical stories. We visited as a party of 2 adults and 2 teenagers, therefore a lot of the child-friendly activities such as the 'little people' trail was not of interest to us, but to their credit the activities put on for younger children and the parks did seem good. It is the most expensive castle to visit in Kent with a family ticket (2 adults, 3 children) costing £128.50 for basic entry or £166.50 for access to additional areas and activities. The price of the tickets and the historical promise of this castle meant we had high expectations but left really disappointed and honestly a bit ripped off.

Rude, ignorant and unhelpful staff. - Our day was ruined by the sarcastic and unhelpful staff. If they hate their job and paying customers so much, then they’re in the wrong profession. The security guy at the entrance was particularly obnoxious - the lady that took our payment was unnecessarily sarcastic too. We will not be returning.
