- Mahiyangana Raja Maha Viharaya - Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara is a historic Buddhist temple located in Mahiyangana, Sri Lanka. It is believed to be the location of Gautama Buddha’s first visit to the island and is one of the Solosmasthana, the 16 sacred religious sites in Sri Lanka.
