Incredible guided tour of Mahdia and beyond! - Thank you, Ghassen, for an incredible guided tour of Mahdia and beyond! Mahdia is truly a city steeped in history, and your expertise brought its rich past to life. From the iconic Skifa Kahla gate to the fascinating Punic port and the grand Bordj El Kébir fortress, every stop was a step back in time. The archeological museum was a treasure trove of discoveries, and your insights made it even more enjoyable. The scenic stops were breathtaking – white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and stunning landscapes that are perfect for photos. And the Mediterranean seafood we enjoyed was delicious, a true taste of the region! The highlight for me was the guided tour of the El Jem Colosseum. It was like stepping into Roman history, and the mosaic museum at Tythdrus was the perfect finishing touch. This tailored one-day tour offered such a diverse glimpse into Tunisia’s beauty and history, and your passion and knowledge made it unforgettable. Highly recommend Ghassen for anyone looking to explore Tunisia’s hidden gems!

The bang for the buck wasn’t there. - I would discourage anyone considering this tour as I perceived the guide to have underperformed in that he did not give a great deal of information and personal insights into the places we visited. In addition, he openly berated those who did not tip at the conclusion. However, in his defence, it did seem that there was a relative dearth of things to see in general in Tunisia. I also was saddened to see the poverty and presence of garbage almost everywhere. In summary, it is hard to advocate taking this tour and it would seem that one’s money might better be spent elsewhere - perhaps in Egypt where there are many wonderful sights and ancient architecture.
