- Great Salt Lake State Park - We will head out on our motorized pontoon boat and get some great views of the lake. We will also hear some entertaining stories and history of this world unique area along with a salty joke or two! We will have two stops in the lake where you will get to float in the lake a see how buoyant you are in the saltiest body of water in the western hemisphere. We will have spa pillows so you can lay back and feel total weightlessness or you can swim around. We will have bottled water and light snacks on board to keep hydrated along with buckets of fresh water to wash the salt off of your hands and face. Full showers are located at the marina in case you want to shower after the tour. There can be bugs in the air right when we leave the marina so we will provide you with a bee-keeper style hat to keep them away from your face. Once out on the lake, the bugs are gone. Bring a swimsuit, towel and some sunblock! We also don’t recommend shaving any body part before the tour to avoid stinging with the salt water.

Drive to the Great Salt Lake State Park. Best way to get directions is to 'google' "Great Salt Lake State Park OR Great Salt Lake Marina". At the park, look for a big sign that says “Great Salt Lake State Park” to your left and we are located in the brown building behind that sign.

Good guide and relaxing swim - Captain Tyler took us out on a perfect day. Nice cool breeze, plenty of water in the lake, and good-sized waves at our first swim stop. Like gentle body surfing with no seaweed or creatures! Shoutout to the sisters who packed Otter pops in a thermos :D

Fun and Relaxing - Relaxing and fun. Went at 9:45 am. We were the only ppl on the lake. Our Captain Tim was friendly and knowledgeable. He gave us the history of Salt Lake as well as fun facts. It was relaxing to just float

Very Cool Experience! - Our captain, Tyler, is an SLC native and is very knowledgeable about all things Great Salt Lake. He told us about some of the history of the lake, the SLC area, the migratory birds, and of course the important brine flies. He also had great dad jokes! We had a perfect day out on the water, bobbing like corks. The flies congregated on the boat while we stopped at the sand bar, but they shooshed away as we started moving again. They didn't bite at all, so not really a problem. I would definitely recommend this excursion!

Great experience and great tour with Captain Dunk! - Captain Dunk was wonderful! Highly recommend doing this tour with him! Beautiful views, great swim areas, very knowledgeable. He took time out to try and talk to my daughter who was not happy with the flies, very caring!
You will not be disappointed.

Our family had a great time swimming the salt lake - We had a fabulous time. IF you ever wanted to swim the salt lake, this is the tour because they take you out away from shore and away from the brine flies. If you swim close to shore you will be miserable because of the flies.

Great time floating around! - Duncan was an awesome captain and very knowledgeable about the local area. Learned some really cool facts about Salt Lake City and the Lake, as well as enjoyed the very unique experience of floating in water without actually needing to try!
Highly recommend the 2 hour tour with swimming.

You gotta do this! - One of the best experiences we've had! Seriously, you should go. Nobody else on lake, serene, beautiful and memorable. The bugs around the shoreline will make you wonder but trust us, the boat ride escapes this quickly. Tyler, our captain, taught us how to embrace the "hugs" from these non biting flies and showed us the beauty of this huge lake. He was informative, kind, professional and even had a few dad jokes for the kids.
GO! You'll be glad you did.

Thanks Nate!!! - So cool to float in the great salt lake! There were a lot of bugs but Nate was very informative on the bugs and everything regarding the salt lake!! Learned a lot and seen a lot! Should definitely try it if you havent before!!!
