2-Day Jungle Trek - My friend and I did the 2 day Jungle Wisdom Trek, hiking out to the bungalows on the first day and returning the second day. Our guide was Lon, who was so chill and knowledgeable. Throughout our hike, he would often stop to pick up a plant and tell us what it was used for (medicine, building materials, even gunpowder). Lunch on the first day was cooked out of a bamboo shoot over the fire, which was incredible to see. I think we were a bit nervous about hiking into the middle of a Thai jungle at night, but Lon's cool demeanor made the trip very relaxing. At night we hung out by the campfire next to a waterfall and gazed at the stars. Day 2 involved a walk through Lon's village, which was super interesting to see how his people lived and worked. They all looked so happy. We were served several meals throughout the 2 day trip, which were all delicious. Overall, this was an incredible and eye-opening experience. Transportation to and from Chai Lai was well organized, and it was a nice change of pace from relaxing at the elephant sanctuary. I can't recommend it enough, Lon was terrific!

An experience to live absolutely! - We spent an unforgettable day in this elephant sanctuary: after a short walk along the rice fields and passing through a magnificent waterfall, we reached the starting point of a bamboo raft descent: 30 minutes of pure tranquility in the middle of the jungle! Then our guide took us to take part in the care of the elephants: feed them, swim them in the river, a unique contact with them! At the exit of the river, our guide prepared us a typical meal of the region, cooked in a stretch of bamboo! A treat... A huge thank you to Artid, our guide, who allowed us to spend this memorable day!!!

Wisdom Survival Trek - Wow - what an experience. We had a private family trip (children 8 & 10). Our guide Cam was amazing, his knowledge we beyond what i was expecting, he taught us alot. Cam was very kind and was really encouraging the children. The hime stay was great, the family were lovely and cooked us a beautiful evening meal and breakfast. We swam in the most beautiful waterfalls, cooked in the jungles, listed the Karen Village, bamboo rafting and much much more. We would highly recommend this trip.

Amazing day out - We did the full day tour, our guide was called 'lucky' and we were lucky to have him. He was very knowledgeable and answered every question I threw at him (and there was quite a few) 😁. He cooked us a beautiful lunch and you could tell by him that he absolutely loved his job and the elephants. The whole sanctuary is dedicated to welfare and happiness of the elephants. I highly recommend this sanctuary, we had a great day

Amazing experience - We had booked a night in the Bungalows but decided to do the tour during the day and I’m so happy we did! It was lovely to have our guide Tattoo that showed us the elephants, cooked an incredible lunch and took us around everywhere. It was so worth it!

Amazing experience in the jungle! - Amazing experience! Our guide Kham (not sure I’m spelling it right) was so nice and extremely knowledgeable. As we hikes we learned about how to use all the wildlife for food or medicine. The overnight was very cool with great cooking as well. Make sure to bring a couple of changes of clothes, and a bathing suit, you will get wet and sweaty! Highly recommend!

Definitely add this to your to-do list! - We had an amazing day trekking through the jungle to a hidden waterfall where we got to swim. We then had a delicious jungle cooked lunch. We then met the elephants and had the opportunity to feed and bath them before heading to do some bamboo rafting. Overall the experience was magical from start to finish. Our guide Jackie Chan was so knowledgeable about everything the jungle had to offer and was very open to answering our questions throughout the day. On top of this, the boys who brought us rafting were a lot of fun and gave us chances to steer our raft. We got to pass the elephants in the water and they splashed us as we went by!

Nice time, but questionable. - We had a great time here. We did the jungle trip where you could eat the elephants and give them a vitamin porridge. Then wash elephants. Had a bite to eat myself. Then we went rafting and visited waterfalls. This was a really great day. Although sometimes I had questions about whether the elephants were getting enough rest. They had to do a lot of activities: -feeding through the tours at the top of the mountain (I believe something like 3x a day) - get food at breakfast at each cottage. -being washed (I think 3x) by the tours. - photo shoots sometimes. - happy hour (here tourists can buy and give extra food at the restaurant). They had to stand for an hour regardless of whether people still had food. But luckily at 17:00 their day is over and they go upstairs. I have to say that there are 22 elephants so maybe they alternate it enough for the rest but it would be nice if there was more transparency about this on the site. E.g. Their daily schedule. There should also be more transperance about their sleeping place, I read comments about people who say they are chained up at night. I don't think that's the case but nobody really knows how big the cage is, where that is and how much care they have there. All in all a top experience but it is a bit “blind trust” that they treat the animals well in the evening. Also, the tourists who insist on taking pictures with the elephants for an hour are very annoying, give those animals a little space.
