Chiang Mai – Doi Inthanon – Mae Sariang (278 km.)

Mae Sariang - Get acquainted with your bike on the highway journey south of Chiang Mai to Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand’s highest peak at 2,565 meters above sea level. Enjoy the excellent winding mountain road through picturesque pine forests. Explore Thailand’s most exquisite waterfall, nature trails, Royal pagodas, and botanical gardens. Descend to Mae Chaem for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. Afterward, continue riding through pine forests until reaching Mae Sariang, near the Myanmar border, where you can enjoy your tranquil accommodation.

Mae Sariang – Mae Hong Son – Pai (287 km.)

Pai - After breakfast, depart from Mae Sariang to Mae Hong Son on narrow, winding roads. In Khun Yuam, take a break to visit a World War II museum. Visit Wat Phra That Doi Kong Mu, the first temple of Mae Hong Son, located on a hilltop. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Discover the unseen Su Tong Pae Bamboo Bridge, built by villagers and locals of Ban Gung Mai Sak. This beautiful bridge is reputedly the longest bamboo bridge in Thailand. Then, return on winding roads to Pai, where charming accommodation with a swimming pool awaits. In Pai, enjoy delicious local cuisine at a restaurant by the river. Pai – Chiang Dao - Tha Ton (270 km.)

Mae Ai - Before breakfast, early in the morning, you have the opportunity to offer food to the monks along the streets of Pai’s local market. After breakfast, visit the Pai World War II Memorial Bridge. Continue on winding mountainous roads. Later, arrive in Chiang Dao for a relaxing lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, explore the Chiang Dao cave. Then, ride along fantastic mountain roads through Thailand’s “Little Toscana” until reaching Tha Ton, where you will visit Wat Tha Ton on the mountain top and enjoy the stunning sunset. Later, relax in your charming accommodation with a fantastic river view.

Tha Ton - Golden Triangle (144 km.)

Golden Triangle - After breakfast, depart from Tha Ton to visit the long-neck Karen tribe village near the Thailand-Myanmar border. Ride to Doi Mae Salong, home to Chinese mountain tea farmers. Here, you will taste Thailand’s finest tea. Then, return on curvy roads to Doi Tung Royal Villa. Visit the Winter Palace and the botanical garden. Lunch is served at the Royal’s Project restaurant. Continue along winding roads to Mae Sai, the northernmost point of Thailand. Visit Wat Tham Pla, where you can feed wild monkeys. Arrive at the Golden Triangle to take a long-tail boat trip on the Mekong River and briefly visit a small village in Laos (no visa required). Visit the Opium museum before relaxing at your peaceful accommodation directly on the mighty Mekong River.

Golden Triangle - Chiang Rai - Nan (328 km.)

Nan - After breakfast, ride along a scenic farming area road to Chiang Rai city. Visit the famous White Temple (Wat Rong Khun), one of the top 10 wonder temples in the world. Lunch is served at a local restaurant. Ride the exhilarating, mountainous highway to Nan. Visit Wat Phra That Khao Noi (Nan hilltop scenic temple) before relaxing in your lovely accommodation and taking a dip in the swimming pool. Later, discover and enjoy Nan’s nightlife.

Rest Day in Nan

Nan - A day of leisure. Today is all about relaxation. Enjoy the pool or shop in town. Optionally, explore the historical and cultural sites of unseen Nan by bicycle. (Laundry service available)

Chiang Mai - After breakfast, depart from unseen Phayao. Ride around Phayao Lake (Kwan Phayao), one of the largest lakes in Northern Thailand.
