Erected in 1180, according to an inscription on a beam, it is disputably considered the oldest synagogue building in Europe still standing. It is now owned and preserved by the Catholic Church
- Iglesia de Santo Tome - The Iglesia de Santo Tomé is a church located in the historical center of the city of Toledo, and was founded after the reconquest of this city by King Alfonso VI of León. It appears quoted in the 12th century, as constructed on the site of an old mosque of the 11th century

Informative with lots of free time - Excellent value for money on this full day trip from Madrid. We booked last minute the night before as it was not much more expensive than the train and included a walking tour.
There was the option for entrance to the cathedral, synagogue and church but we decided not to do this. This worked well for us as gave us more individual time to explore the lovely Toledo! I would recommend this trip

Superb visit to Tolede in excellent conditions - Visit Tolede to do absolutely!
One-hour bus ride, arrival around 10am and departure around 4pm, which is enough to enjoy the city and visit the main monuments including the cathedral, magnificent
We chose the self tour, the guide was adorable and gave us valuable advice.

Well worth taking this tour - Sarantha has been a wonderful tour guide. Knowledgeable and very friendly with great English. We had a mixed language group but she managed to convey information efficiently in both English and Spanish. The tour offered plenty of free time, more than three hours for lunch and individual shopping and site seeing. Driving to Toledo in the comfortable bus has been smooth and quick, approximately one hour from Madrid. Overall positive experience and easier than taking a train and seeing Toledo on our own.

Easy and comfortable - The idea of figuring out the train overwhelmed us so we thought this would be an easier and more straightforward option from Madrid. And it was. The bus was very comfortable and clean. The group was sweet. The guide was very warm and friendly and talked in English the entire time. We chose to leave the group to wander on our own and everyone was cool about it. A very good way to see Toledo for the day. The perfect amount of time too.

It was okay, but not staying again - Upon arrival the key pad did not work to get into the apartment. After trying multiple times to enter we called the help line and there was no answer. I called back and they did answer on the second try although the line cut me off while talking to them twice. After 15 minutes we were able to get in with a physical key that they had in a lockbox. Throughout the stay the door would sometimes open with the code and sometimes with the key..sometimes the key would just turn around and around and not unlock the door.
Also, the shower head was broken and the handle was just hanging there, so that was not a pleasant shower experience.
Two other small items. There were no paper towels and we had to search for the utensils for 5 minutes...they were not in the kitchen but in the TV console table.
Overall it was an okay experience but I would not stay here again.
The location was perfect.

An okay day in Toledo - I liked the idea of a day trip to Toledo but I think it was lacking substance. Also the fact that there is a "with tickets" or "without tickets" option is somewhat misleading: nearly everyone buys "with tickets", so if you don't it just means you're standing around waiting for everyone else to do the ticketed thing - or you buy your own ticket but then you are not permitted to join the group and follow along. It would be better to only offer "with tickets" if that's what most people opt for.
