- Segovia - Please arrive at our central Madrid office 15 minutes before your tour begins. Depart the city for Segovia in one of our comfortable, air-conditioned coaches. Upon arrival, groups will be formed. If you selected the option to explore Segovia independently, you will have about three hours of free time. For those who opted for the monuments tour, there will be approximately one hour of free time for lunch. The rest of the group will head to a restaurant to enjoy a delightful meal featuring roast suckling pig.
- Catedral de Segovia - After lunch, participants of the monuments tour will reconvene with the guide to begin exploring Segovia. Stroll through the historic Jewish quarter, view the exterior of the Cathedral, and proceed to the Alcazar of Segovia.
- Alcazar of Segovia - Experience a guided tour inside this magnificent castle and be amazed by its impressive architecture. Did you know that its design inspired a Walt Disney film? Can you guess which one?
- Segovia - Those who chose the independent exploration option will have around three hours to enjoy the city at their leisure. Participants of the monuments tour will have access to the Alcázar of Segovia, where they will partake in a guided tour and admire its fortifications.
- Casco Historico de Avila - Our day begins with a visit to Ávila, renowned for its well-preserved fortifications. Join your guide for a walking tour of the Old Town to uncover the city’s rich history. Discover Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces, and a medieval fortified cathedral.
- Las Murallas de Avila - Explore the Walls of Ávila and imagine the tales they have witnessed over the centuries. Be captivated by the fortifications and towers that have earned the city UNESCO World Heritage Site status.
- Avila - Rejoin the group at the designated time for the return journey to Madrid.

Begin your journey in Segovia, where you have the option to explore independently, join a guided tour with access to the stunning Alcazar, or enhance your experience with a gastronomic lunch included in the guided tour with Alcazar access. Following this, proceed to Avila to marvel at its remarkable city walls and enjoy a guided tour, uncovering the city’s captivating history.
- Please note that depending on the option selected you will have different inclusions in the visit of Segovia. If you decide to visit it at your own, the ticket and the tour inside the Alcazar is not included.
- If you select the option with Gastronomic lunch, it includes: Special white beans from “La Granja”, Roast suckling pig, Typical Segovian pastry “Ponche Segoviano”. Bread, wine and mineral water.

Good trip - The guide was great but we had a hard time understanding her sometimes. These two cities are a must we had enough time for shopping and lunch

Wonderful first trip to Spain - My husband and I took this tour and had a wonderful time. The tour office was easy to find and the check in process was very quick and easy thanks to all the helpful, kind staff. We did the monuments version of the tour and felt that the price was very reasonable as we saw SO many things throughtout the day. We did not do the included lunch (though our tour guide let us know we were welcome to eat at the same restaurant as well should we like to change our mind while we were there). Those not doing the included lunch had a little over an hour to shop or eat on our own. My husband and I got a quick burger at a fast food restaurant (With a front seat view of the aquaduct btw!) and did some souvenir shopping until our group met up again. Our tour guide Matel did a wonderful job translating and explaining each monument as we went and was happy to answer any questions anyone had along the way. He made sure everyone was accounted for at every step of the trip and made sure no one got left behind. We covered a lot of places through the day but we never felt rushed or felt that we were running out of time. The bus ride was very comfortable and clean and the driver did a great job as well. We did a lot of walking, all on concrete/cobble stone so I would not recommend this tour to anyone who cannot tolerate those walking conditions. Should we be fortunate enough to come back to Spain again we will be booking another tour with them! Thank you again to Matel for making our first trip to Spain so special and memorable!

Hermosas ciudades - Great tour mariana was very knowledgeable and friendly. Both cities Segovia and Avila are beautiful.
Lunch was included and was served at a very nice restaurant serving typical dish and dessert along water and a glass of wine. Would definitely recommend. Lots of walking but it was well advised before the tour.

Segovia the best! - Mariana was a great tour guide, she tried her very best to tell the history of each places we’ve visited in English & Spanish languages (that’s hard work right there). Also, our driver Luis Mariano who’s always on time to pick us up and for driving us safely. Over all, I recommend the tour especially Segovia!

A good taster for these... - A good taster for these two great cities but a long day with many steps to climb. The most disappointing aspect was that the church of Santa Teresa in Avila (our main reason for joining this tour) was closed due to fiestas. Surely information on this should be checked in advance!. Mateo was a good knowledgeable guide who did well to keep his herd together- even the black sheep.

Don’t be fooled-It’s a Spanish language tour - Tour was ok in that it did what it said/ took you to sights and fed you. Extremely disappointed in tour guide as this was billed as a Spanish/ English tour that was really a 80% Spanish/20% English tour. Do yourself a favor and determine before you go that the guide speaks and understands English.

Adequate but not great - Our guide was pleasant but not very clear providing advice in both Spanish and English. The guide frequently answered questions from Spanish speakers, but did not relay this information to English speakers.
Time on the bus could have been used to discuss stops so visits would have more context. There was a lot of wasted time and uncertainty with what was happening next.
For example we would have liked more time to explore the aqueduct in Segovia, and would have done it ourselves if we’d known the tour was just walking under the structure.

Good experience, but difficult to understand translation - Avila, Segovia and Alcazar were extremely interesting sites to visit. They were 41 people on our trip of which 12 spoke English.. The rest spoke Spanish.. our tour guide spent approximately 95% talking in Spanish and the remaining time in English. Her English was not very good and difficult to understand.. this is not a problem of our guide. She was very helpful. However the company should have provided an additional staff member with good English. Surely they could afford this.
