Palace tour - We got Oscar as our guide. Very knowledgeable about the palace. Skip the line was the best as we didn’t have to wait at all.

Madrid tour of Royal Palace in explanation which were wonderful - Oscar was amazing. Best tour that I’ve had perhaps even better than ones in Rome. Wonderful tour of the Royal Palace and a lot of history explained.

Alcazar and Seville catedral - We started with "skip the lane" cathedral and Giralda tower. Our guide Ivan showered us with history and stories of places we visited. It was amazing. Alcazar and gardens were simply stunning. Ivan was very knowedgable, telling stories that brought Alcazar to life. Awesome experience!!!

Royal Palace is beautiful, but use a different tour company - The Royal Palace is an architectural beauty. If you are into history and architecture, this tour is for you. There are 3,418 rooms, but you will only get to see about 10 of them. I suggest going on a day that is not a holiday or weekend. We went on a Friday and it was still rather packed, I heard the weekends were too busy. I had a bad experience with this tour company on another tour, so i recommend not utilizing Fun and Tickets for this experience - book with anyone else. Booking in a group, you get to skip the line of people doing on their own. You also get a personal guide that walks you through all the history - our tour guide looked like the cousin of Adam Sandler and had the voice of Massimo from the Wedding Planner. So, take that as you may. It was hard to follow everything - I had this tour guide twice and I think there is a bit of spanish to english translation hurtles - but overall be ready to be bombarded with more information than you can take.

Do this instead of paying at the palace - I had a last minute chance to explore Madrid and the Palace tickets were sold out. I really wanted to see the Palace so I booked this tour. I am glad I did. The skip the line was necessary so O could spend my time in the Palace and not line, and the tour provided good information and context. The labeling at the Palace and the brochure would not have been adequate, The Guide Frederick was helpful and he kept on time. He used a microphone that transmitted to individual radios with earbuds so I could hear him and his english translation. I would recommend.

Average experience at the Madrid palace - Madrid Palace is a decent visit, but nothing stands out as a must-see. Our small group of eight was pleasant, but the audio provided was faulty, making it hard to hear the guide. Instead of booking through the small group with a guide, we recommend booking directly online with the palace. The added cost wasn’t worth it. To top it off, we ended up waiting in line over 30 minutes, even with the skip-the-line feature.

Small Group of 30 People - Paid for a small group tour but ended up in a group of 30. I was contacted the night before the tour and was offered an earlier tour because the group would be smaller. I now wonder what number of people are in a large group.

Meet up point mix up - The meet up point is not at the Palace but rather 6-7 blocks away in a very congested area that is difficult to find. It was the first time in many years of traveling and booking tours that the meeting point was not adjacent to the tour site. Although technically my fault for not understanding our meeting point was that far away in a small storefront, the tour operator did not respond to two separate emails asking for clarity on the meeting point. By the time we were were able to understand all this, the tour had begun with the guide inside the palace and they were unable to come out and add us. The tour operator would not refund us but did offer to reschedule us the following day but we were booked to travel to Sevilla. Very disappointing outcome. Recommend booking with an operator who meets you at the palace.
