• Bodega del Nero - Next, we visit another town in Madrid to explore the second winery. The guide and winemakers will educate us about the wine-making process while we sample more wines. Although the Madrid Denomination of Origin is not as renowned as others, it is emerging as a region of exceptional wines. With 900 years of winemaking tradition in the fertile vegas region (riverbanks) where the Manzanares, Tajuña, Jarama, Henares, and Tajo rivers converge, or south of the Guadarrama Sierra’s granite foothills. These environmentally protected areas were the exclusive wine suppliers for the burgeoning new capital of the sixteenth-century Spanish Empire.
• Bodegas Jesus Diaz e Hijos - Our third stop is Bodegas Jesús Díaz e Hijos, one of the oldest wineries in Colmenar de Oreja, situated in an old Franciscan convent. They have been producing wine for over a century. Their wines are still made in large clay jars, a tradition in this area for centuries. We will also explore its magnificent centuries-old caves where the wines are stored.
• Plaza del Conde de Casal - The tour concludes back at the meeting point. Please note that this itinerary is an example and may be subject to change. Modern and traditional winemaking coexist in the Tagus River Valley, the historical and current wine region of the Madrid province (Certified Denomination of Origin Vinos de Madrid). The selected Madrid wineries offer a blend of modern and traditional styles, each showcasing a unique aspect of winemaking. The choice of wineries depends on availability for the day.

• Minimum number of participants for tours to take place is 4. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, we will notify you one week in advance and you will be offered an alternative or a full refund.
• Inside the cellars it is a bit cold. We recommend warm clothes.
• Children under 12 cannot take part of the tour.
• Always estimate it will take you 10-20min longer than what maps say and plan your route to the meeting point the night before. We do not recommend using Uber, take a regular taxi.
