A great Flamenco experience. - Exciting. Energetic. Passionate. Wonderful rhythms and music. Intimate space. Owner was very welcoming. One big suggestion: book ahead. (We did, and were rewarded with a front row table.)

It is worth seeing. - I moved from the central region of Madrid to the Taberna El Cortizo region by metro. I planned the tour in two stages being the 1st at the Retiro Park and Prado Museum. Back to the metro (Estaçao Retiro), we descend at Estaçao Sol on line 1, until we arrive at Estaçao Portazgo...The Estaçao is less than 300 metres from the Taberna. That is, the program, although a bit tired by the stages of the course, is quite valid by cost/benefit.

Good experience for the price - Good experience considering it was a cheaper flamenco show. We had a terrible time finding the place and thought it was closed or we’d miss the show! All communication said it was in the market and it was on C. De Josefa Diaz but the door was actually on C. Pico de la Maliciosa. The show was good but shorter than advertised, the performers were wonderful though and did 2 15-20 minute sets with a break in between. It looked like hot and hard work so we didn’t begrudge them the shorter performance time than expected! We ate there also and the food was alright. Tasty enough but some of it was cold so it felt expensive for what it was. Overall probably wouldn’t go back but if you want a cheap flamenco show off the beaten track and can find the entrance it’s not a bad option!

Entertaining! - We felt it was a great show, especially for the price. They dancers and musicians were talented and passionate. It seemed very authentic. The venue left a little to be desired. Uncomfortable chairs and drinks and food were WAY overpriced. A bottle of water was €5. But the show was great!

Live an evening of flamenco - A nice show, the typical Spanish flamenco show, is a small stage in front of a small room and a bar,
