The tour starts with a visit to the renowned Hegra (Madain Saleh), the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in Saudi Arabia. Known historically as Al-Hijr or Hegra in Greek, it was the southernmost major city of the Nabatean Kingdom, flourishing through caravan trade from the 2nd century BCE until the Roman conquest in 106 CE. Hegra is the second wealthiest Nabatean city, boasting 94 decorated tombs that display exceptional craftsmanship. Participants will explore its tombs, inscriptions, and stone marvels. Lunch will be enjoyed in the city, followed by a leisurely visit to Jebel Al-Fil (Elephant Rock). The tour concludes with a return to Medina and drop-off at the hotel.
