• Poiso - Stretching 4.09 km in length, this area offers visitors an immersive experience in the mountainous terrain of Madeira’s south coast.
• Balcoes de Ribeiro Frio - The Vereda dos Balcões is a short trail, 1.5 km each way, leading to the scenic Miradouro dos Balcões. Starting at Regional Road No. 103 in Ribeiro Frio, this easy trail, with an expected duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes, follows the Levada da Serra do Faial.

On the Vereda dos Balcões route, visitors can encounter indigenous and endemic species of Madeira, adding various shades of green to the Laurissilva forest. During the walk, be attentive to the Lauraceae family tree species and the exotic plants along the trail’s edges.
