- Mount Nebo - As one of Jordan’s most sacred sites, Mount Nebo is believed to be the burial place of Moses. Early Christians constructed a small Byzantine church here, which has since been expanded into a large complex. During his visit to Jordan in 2000, the Late Pope John Paul II delivered a sermon at this site, attended by approximately 20,000 worshippers.
- The Baptism Site Of Jesus Christ - The location of John the Baptist’s settlement at Bethany Beyond the Jordan, where Jesus was baptized, is well-documented in the Bible (John 1:28 and 10:40) and in Byzantine and medieval writings.
- Dead Sea - Undoubtedly one of the world’s most extraordinary places, the Jordan Rift Valley presents a stunning and dramatic landscape. At the Dead Sea, it lies over 400m (1,312 ft.) below sea level, marking the lowest point on earth. This expansive body of water receives several rivers, including the River Jordan. Once the waters reach the Dead Sea, they become landlocked and evaporate, leaving behind a dense, rich mixture of salts and minerals that provide some of the finest products for industry, agriculture, and medicine.
