Petra and Wadi Rum
Petra - Petra is a renowned archaeological site in Jordan’s southwestern desert. Dating back to around 300 B.C., it was the capital of the Nabatean Kingdom. Accessed through a narrow canyon called Al Siq, it features tombs and temples carved into pink sandstone cliffs, earning it the nickname “Rose City.” Its most famous structure is Al Khazneh, a 45-meter-high temple with an ornate, Greek-style facade, known as The Treasury.
Wadi Rum - In the afternoon, head to Wadi Rum and spend the night in a Bedouin camp. The desert’s beauty is truly breathtaking. Take a jeep tour with the Bedouins for two hours, which is the minimum recommended activity in Wadi Rum.
