Rio Pita Walkpath:
This is an excellent trail for ascending to an altitude of 10,400 feet through the Andean forest, featuring four charming waterfalls and nine suspension bridges. The Pita River serves as the main waterway, offering a leisurely 2-hour, 5-mile (8-kilometer) walk, perfect for photography and enjoying fresh air. The path leads to the Condor Machay Waterfall, where visitors can have a snack and admire the impressive 80-meter (262-foot) waterfall and the beautiful surroundings before heading back.
On the return journey, lunch is available at Selva Alegre, a well-known town offering a variety of traditional dishes at reasonable prices, around $10.
