Vrijthof - Solve a murder in Maastricht with this self-guided murder mystery game, a detective trail that turns the historic centre into the crime scene. Following in the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes, participants gather evidence at real locations: a coded message near the Markt, a photo task at the Vrijthof, and a witness statement that does not match what was seen at Onze Lieve Vrouwebasiliek. Every puzzle solved takes another name off the list of suspects.
The game takes about 2 hours and can be played at the participant’s own pace. One ticket covers a team of 1 to 4 people sharing one phone; larger groups can buy extra tickets and race each other. Choose a start date and time when booking, then begin whenever it suits - there is no guide to meet and no fixed departure. Stop for lunch, leave the case where it stands and pick it up later. A smartphone with an internet connection is required. The investigation starts at the Markt.
