History through dress - This is a fun hidden gem that does a fantastic job depicting history through dress. Beautiful details and descriptions and a lovely tea on the terrace at the end.

Must be on your Marrakesh tour - It is a very unusual and very interesting museum situated in a beautiful riad from XVII century. You can take a tea sitting on a rooftop terrace and admiring a view over Marrakesh. Highly recommended.

Different and delightful - I found this museum by accident while looking for something else, and it was a happy discovery. The staff was lovely and this was a nice palate cleanser from busy souks. The beautiful displays in the museum are a labor of love of more than forty years of one woman dedicated to the culture and costumes of Morocco. Very nicely curated and a delight for the eyes. A message of tolerance comes through, as you see a celebration of Muslim, Christian and Jewish cultures over the centuries through the clothing and jewelry they wore. Following the tour with complementary mint tea on the beautiful roof terrace was a perfect way to spend some quiet time in hectic Marrakech.

A marvellous, smaller museum. - This is a fascinating museum in an historic building. Enjoy the highly detailed, well-researched, reproduced costumes on well- made figures. Artists have clearly been engaged in creating period settings for the display cabinets. This will be really interesting for students of history, as well as costume. Enjoy tea on the roof after your visit.

Detour worthy addition to your Marrakech adventure - Please try and find an hour to visit this unique and thoroughly charming addition to Marrakech. The level of research and detail that has gone in to every exhibit is as astounding as her skill in creating this 40 year passion project! Meanwhile, the riad itself is lovely enough in its own right. And to finish with a complimentary mint tea on the roof terrace in the winter sunshine capped off my morning perfectly! Shukran.

Excellent museum still unknown to the general public, which will please both history and sewing enthusiasts and curious! - Discovered by chance, this very new museum (opened at the end of 2024) clearly deserves to be known! It is the story of a woman, researcher and sewing enthusiast, who decides to undertake a titanic work to pay tribute to Moroccan clothing traditions, region by region! 40 years of his life dedicated to this, from research, to sewing of each of the period outfits (from the 8th century has today in memory), jewelry and makeup included, all on dolls! At least 400 dolls on several floors. All with well-chosen local music, QR codes to fully understand everything, and period photos. Final in style on the rooftoop where we are offered a quiet tea. Go with your eyes closed, the story of this lady, who died last year, is incredible.
