Megan, our tour guide,... - Megan, our tour guide, was fantastic. We learned a lot about Lyon, its history and its links to its gastronomy. And the food and wine were awesome!

Simply the best! - Natalie was an exceptional guide: friendly, organised and with a deep knowledge of the food culture of Lyon with its intricate ties with Lyon history, particularly the influence of the silk industry. Excellent selection of vendors and bouchon. The pacing of the tour was perfect. Special mention too to Thierry at the Crèmerie/Fromagerie who shared with us his love and his excellent knowledge of the wonderful world of French cheese. We highly recommend this tour!

Excellent Value - This tour is definitely worth the money! Our guide was very knowledgeable about the culture and history of Lyon. All of the stops were incredibly informative and interactive. I loved everything from the cheese and chocolates to the silk: the wine was also delicious as was the samples of traditional lyonnaise cuisine.

Must do for you trip - Nathalie was really amazing and we had such a good time with her. We were the only people in the group so it felt like a private tour! We met some friendly people, had good food, good laughs, good wine and she shared much about the history of Lyon and the food. Made our trip much more memorable knowing all the details. Would highly recommend! Nathalie was amazing. We wished we had done the tour at the start of our trip so we had a much better understanding of the areas of town, the food and where to really eat at an authentic bouchon.

Great tour guide! - Pros: our tour guide was great and super knowledgeable. The cheese, silk shop, and chocolates were all an amazing experience. Highly recommend this tour! Cons: traditional Lyon food (as far as the main meals go) may not be what most people expect when they think of French food. It’s not the “wow” kind of flavors packed with rich complex layers. It’s just kind of okay. Maybe some people will like it, but it’s not what we were expecting. We recommend researching Bouchon menus to manage expectations
