Great Experience - The tour was good, helped by a good group of people on the tour. The guide was knowledgeable and gave interesting information about the area, which was beautiful. The highlight was the visit to La Domaine de la Roche winery. The winemker (Mathieu, I think) was excellent. Gave fantastic insight into the world of Beaujolais wine and the surrounding area, The second stop was OK – but really just a tasting. Overall a good experience.

Lovely trip into the... - Lovely trip into the Beaujolais region from Lyon, with our lovely guide Rachel. Very interesting to meet an organic farmer and winemaker, and see the beautiful landscape.

Excellent Beaujolais half day tour - We really enjoyed our half day Beaujolais wine tour. Our guide, Francois, was very knowledgeable and gave us excellent insight into the viniculture of the Beaujolais region. The winemaker, Mathieu (hope I’ve spelt his name correctly) being a 6th generation wine maker was wonderful sharing his knowledge and passion - we certainly enjoy each bottle of wine now thinking about the effort and skill required to make the wine.

Beaujolais eye-opener - I didn't have high expectations of Beaujolais wine. Happy to admit I was very wrong and it was delicious The tour guide was very informative as were the wineries. Thoroughly enjoyed this eye-opening tour and I will be on the lookout for Beaujolais in the future

Worth your time - Great visiting two different wineries with tasting. We learned a lot at both the wineries and from our host narrating on the way to the vineyards. Great scenery and history. Highly recommend!

Great introduction to the Beaujolais region. - Our tour guide was charming and very knowledgeable, and she was good driver ! The wine tasting experience was exceptional. The winemaker gave us a comprehensive tour of his particular style of production and was very generous with his time. We were very pleased to come away with examples of his excellent product. We highly recommend this tour !

The wine tour was great... - The wine tour was great and everyone enjoyed the wines! Our first location was at a smaller vineyard and the winemaker was very charming. I wish we had been able to explore the vines more but enjoyed it greatly still. The second stop was more of a store/shop and the winemaker there was on the phone with an issue for the duration of our visit but our guide talked us through all the wines. This was more of a rest at a table without a tour or any exploration which was a bit of a let down. Overall, we enjoyed it but wish it had been longer or more involved.

Good tour, beautiful area and the wine at our first stop was great - The first winery was excellent. The winemaker was very good at explaining the wines and the process. The second winery not so much. Seemed to be in a hurry to get us out and did a less than great job of describing the wines.

Get Better Guides - The Beaujolais guide, Maureen, was not good. She was there to do the bare basics. And was too obsessed with hurrying back and we could feel it. She must have said at least 5 times, “we can’t spend too much time as I have another tour to be back for.” I would NOT recommend her. In fact, I saw her an hour after returning and asked for directions help, she would barely and minimally answered that was not helpful.
