- Mont Brouilly - Begin the journey along the picturesque Beaujolais “Route des Vins” and, with the guide, explore the “terroir” (French philosophy for wine) and the distinct characteristics of the Beaujolais “crus” wine appellations.
Pass by Mont Brouilly, a stunning dormant volcano adorned with ancient vineyards.
- Cercie - At 3:15 pm, enter a small family winery, meet an enthusiastic winemaker, and learn about the unique “semi-carbonic” maceration process of Beaujolais winemaking.
Then, proceed to the charmingly decorated caveau (wine-tasting room) to savor several crus Beaujolais wines from various vintages.
- Fleurie - Next, cross Morgon and travel to La Madone Chapel in Fleurie town to enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Beaujolais wine region: on clear days, you might even glimpse the Alps and Mont Blanc!
- Chenas - Continue along the Beaujolais wine road, pass Moulin-à-Vent, and arrive in Chénas town to explore the remarkable cellar of a Chateau Wine Estate filled with oak barrels.
