Full Day Tour to Karnak and Luxor Temples
Temple of Karnak - Guests will be picked up from their hotel in Hurghada early in the morning by a private air-conditioned vehicle for an overnight trip to Luxor. Upon arrival, they will meet their personal tour guide and begin the tour with a visit to Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex ever built by man, representing the combined achievements of many generations of ancient builders and pharaohs.
Luxor Temple - Next, guests will visit Luxor Temple, which was the center of the most important festival, the Opet Festival. Built largely by Amenhotep III and Ramses II, the temple served as the setting for the festival’s rituals, which were meant to reconcile the human aspect of the ruler with the divine office. Guests will then enjoy lunch, followed by a visit to the Alabaster factory, before being transferred to their hotel in Luxor for an overnight stay.
Valley of the Kings and Hatshepsut Temple Full Day Tour
Valley of the Kings - After breakfast at the hotel, guests will begin their second day of touring with a visit to the Valley of the Kings, the final resting place of Egypt’s rulers from the 18th to the 20th dynasty. It is home to tombs including those of the great pharaoh Ramses II and the boy pharaoh Tutankhamun. The tombs were well stocked with all the material goods a ruler might need in the next world, and most of the decoration inside the tombs remains well preserved.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari - Guests will then visit the Temple of Hatshepsut, one of the most beautiful and best-preserved of all the temples of Ancient Egypt. The temple was built on three levels, with two wide ramps in a central position joining the levels together. After lunch, guests will visit the Colossi of Memnon, two massive stone statues of King Amenhotep III that are the only remains of a complete mortuary temple. The statues are made from blocks of quartzite sandstone that were sourced in Cairo and then moved 700 km to Luxor. Finally, guests will be transferred back to their hotel in Hurghada.
