Luxor Temple & Karnak Temple
Luxor Temple - The tour guide will collect guests from their hotel in Luxor or from Luxor Airport. From the start of the tour, the guide will provide full attention and share interesting details about the journey and the tour itself.
Begin the tour at Luxor Temple, constructed by Amenhotep III during the 18th Dynasty of the New Kingdom and completed by Ramesses II in the 19th Dynasty. King Ramses II, a prominent figure of the 19th Dynasty, ruled Egypt for approximately 67 years. The temple was dedicated to the great god Amun-Ra, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu, collectively known as the Theban triad. Enjoy viewing the Obelisk of Ramses II in front of the 1st Pylon.
Temple of Karnak - Next, visit Karnak Temple, a remarkable example of historical worship dedicated to the God Amon, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu. Its construction spanned from the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco-Roman Kingdom.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at a delightful restaurant before being transferred back to the hotel.
Valley of The Kings, Valley of Queens, Colossi of Memnon & Hatshepsut Temple
Valley of the Kings - The guide will pick guests up from their hotel in the morning to begin the tour at the Valley of the Kings, renowned for its magnificent architecture used for burials. Many kings are interred here, including King Tutmosis I, Tutmosis III, Tut-Ankh-Amon, King Ramsses VI, King Mrenptah, and Amenhotep II.
Valley of the Queens - Next, visit The Valley of the Queens, where queens and other high-ranking officials were buried. Known in ancient times as Ta-Set-Neferu, meaning “The Place of Beauty” or “The Place of the Royal Children,” the tombs were excavated by Ernesto Schiaparelli and Francesco Ballerini in the early 1900s.
The Valley of the Queens includes the main wadi, which contains most tombs, along with the Valley of Prince Ahmose, the Valley of the Rope, the Valley of the Three Pits, and the Valley of the Dolmen. The main wadi holds 91 tombs, with an additional 19 in the subsidiary valleys.
The burials in the subsidiary valleys date back to the 18th Dynasty. The reason for choosing the Valley of the Queens as a burial site remains unknown, though its proximity to the workers’ village of Deir El-Medina is notable. The Valley of the Queens was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1979.
Colossi of Memnon - Then, visit The Colossi of Memnon, two enormous stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, located at the entrance of the ruined Mortuary Temple of Amenhotep III, the largest temple in the Theban Necropolis. Standing since 1350 BC, they were known to Ancient Greeks and Romans, as well as early modern travelers and Egyptologists. The statues feature 107 Roman-era inscriptions in Greek and Latin, dated between AD 20 and 250, many of which reference the Greek mythological king Memnon, whom the statue was mistakenly believed to represent.
Afterward, enjoy lunch at a pleasant restaurant.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, constructed by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmose I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (1490–1469 B.C). She was the only pharaonic woman to reign over ancient Egypt.
Finally, guests will be transferred back to their hotel.
Edfu Temple & Komombo Temple
Temple of Horus - Guests will be picked up from their hotel to visit the Temple of Edfu, a majestic temple dedicated to Horus, considered by many to be the best-preserved cult temple in Egypt. According to Egyptian mythology, it is where the falcon-headed god Horus avenged his father Osiris’s murder by killing Seth.
Kom Ombo Temple - Then, visit the temple of Kom Ombo, shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris.
Afterward, enjoy lunch before being transferred to Luxor airport.
