- Pyramids of Giza - Arrive at Giza Station by 7:00 am to be greeted by an expert tour guide who will be waiting on the platform with a sign displaying your name. Begin your day tour by visiting the Giza Pyramids, including the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus.
Next, visit the Valley Temple, where the highest priests mummified King Chephren’s body and conducted his final heart judgment. This is also where you can get closer to The Great Sphinx and capture memorable professional photos, assisted by our expert tour guide. The Sphinx, known for its pharaoh’s head and lion’s body, dates back to the time of Chephren, the owner of the second pyramid at the Giza Plateau.
After spending three hours visiting the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx, enjoy an included lunch at a local restaurant in Giza.
- Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated.
- Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple revealed several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860.
- Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple.
- Great Sphinx - The Great Sphinx of Giza, often called the Sphinx of Giza or simply the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a reclining sphinx, a mythical creature. Facing directly from west to east, it stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt.
- The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Continue your day tour to The Egyptian Museum, also known as the Old Egyptian Museum, located in Tahrir Square, downtown Cairo. This historic museum has been open since 1902.
The museum houses over 120,000 original artifacts from ancient Egyptian civilization, including the renowned treasures of King Tutankhamun, royal mummies, statues, sarcophagi, papyri, and ancient tools. Its classic pink building and traditional gallery layout make it a landmark of Egyptian history and archaeology.
- Khan Al-Khalili - Proceed to Islamic Cairo to explore Khan Al-Khalili Bazaar, Cairo’s oldest bazaar. Finally, around 7:00 pm, you will be transferred back to Giza train station for your 10-hour train journey back to Luxor.
