Things to do in Luxor - Great experience! However, the activity lasted just under one and a half hours.
Our captain also offered us tea.

Felucca Sunset at Luxor with Amra - We wer picked up from the Steigenberger Resort Achti, but unfortunately did not ask the driver his name. He had a lovely Red BMW though and spoke very good English.
The Felucca was extremely clean and well maintained and out captain was called Amra. He had been sailing Felucca's for 17 years and spoke broken English, but he was very welcoming and humorous.
We sailed from the main boat dock on the Kornish Al Nile and slowly made our way south.
Amra made us a glass of mint tea which was delicious and whilst he was making that, he pointed to me to take charge of the tiller. What at first looked easy to do, it soon became evident that it wasn't because of the speed and undercurrent of the Nile.
It was surreal knowing that we were sailing on the longest river in the world, and looking across the river to the mountains of the Valley of the Kings and the buildings on the East and West Bank.
The sunset didn't disappoint, but unfortunately on our trip, in the distance, there was a very large fire razing the ground to build on and the smoke was heavy.
We turned back after a half hour taking as many photos as possible, before docking again where we left. And were picked up to return to our hotel.
We highly recommend this beautiful and serene trip on the Nile. And if you are fortunate to get Amra, you will have a wonderful and memorable time.

Well organized.
Good sailing by Ali & Ahmed.
A good relax after a day full of sightseeing.

Sunset sail - We had a beautiful sunset felucca ride on the Nile. The wind was perfect, sunshine and our captain, Ali, was brilliant … both him and his ship mate were very friendly.

Overall very nice experience - The sunset felucca ride was beautiful, we got photos just like what was advertised. The captain was nice, only thing that could have been improved was towards the end of the ride when we were coming in to dock, lots of boats were docking and some were crashing into each other. The captain of our boat went onto the stern of the boat and was busy with ropes/the anchor we think? We had to (without any instruction) take the initiative to steer the boat to avoid us crashing into other boats. Therefore not well managed at the end.

OK but not overly wowed - A pleasant enough way to spend an hour or 2 to see the Nile sunset, although also it felt slightly chaotic and underwhelming.
Did not sail very far (ok possibly due to lack of a breeze) and getting out on to Nile and then back into quayside was not exactly seamless to say the least.
Still nice to watch the sunset and have a cup of hibiscus tea whilst doing so.

Skip banana Island - I should've known this was going to be a not so great experience when I got on the boat and they asked if we wanted to pay 100 EGP to go to banana island. He said there are monkeys and crocodiles. In my head I was thinking wild ones on an island, cool sight seeing? WRONG. It was animal abuse at its finest. Just another tourist trap where animals are trapped in small concrete cages for entertainment. Skip it at all cost.
Next, we were never offered water as mentioned in the tour. We were offered fruits, but the captain literally ate 95% of them... such an odd thing to offer fruits but eat them all. Next we had issues with trying to leave the dock of banana island because not enough wind since it was a sail boat. We were stranded probably for a good 15 minutes until the captain got us further out. We did not enjoy it at all. I wish I booked with a different company or boat.
