Karnak Open Air Museum - The Karnak temple complex in Luxor evolved over more than a millennium, mainly between the Twelfth and Twentieth Dynasties. At its height, it was the largest and most significant religious complex in ancient Egypt. The most notable structure, and the largest religious building ever constructed, is the Temple of Amun-Ra, believed to be the earthly dwelling of the god alongside his wife, Mut, and son, Khonsu, who also have temples at the site. The Temple of Amun-Ra is renowned for its expansive Hypostyle Hall, built during Seti I’s reign. After Memphis became the new dynastic capital, many of Luxor’s temples lost their prominence. In subsequent centuries, Ptolemaic rulers and Coptic Christians modified parts of the complex for their purposes.

Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, also known as El Dir El Bahari, was constructed by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmosis I, who ruled Egypt for about 20 years during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.), the only female pharaoh to reign over ancient Egypt.
