We met our French-speaking Egyptologist guide in Luxor. He is fluent in the French language and has extensive knowledge of all monuments and the history of Egypt. He is attentive and attentive to our well-being and expectations. We had lunch in a restaurant chosen by our guide. Very good choice: impeccable service, varied dishes, sufficient quantities. We ended our day with a mini cruise on the Nile. Then back to the hotel. Great well organized tour - We made the trip with Memnon travelling to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings - and it was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Egypt. We were already picked up at 5:00 in the morning in Safaga and were back around 19:00. Despite the early start, the day was perfectly organized and very pleasant. The organization was excellent from start to finish: on-time pickup, convenient transportation and a very well-planned process without stress or long waiting times. We were particularly impressed by our guide – incredibly competent, friendly and with a great knowledge of Egyptian history. The explanations were exciting, understandable and told with a lot of humor. Our driver also deserves a lot of praise. He drove very quietly, safely and prudently, so we felt comfortable and safe all the time – especially on the long distance a big plus. Luxor itself is of course an incredible place full of history, but the tour made everything even more alive. In the Valley of the Kings we had enough time to visit several tombs and really immerse ourselves in the world of the pharaohs. An additional highlight was the Nile trip – beautiful and a great addition to the program. Also the lunch was really good and rounded off the day perfectly. Even the small details were right: good breaks, pleasant pace and the feeling of being well looked after at all times. Mr. Naschaat has a great way of passing on his knowledge with perfect German to his guests. He made us aware of so many small things that we would not have noticed on our own. With him, you realize that he is happy at work, which he makes his guests feel. His ideas to make some changes of plans for 2 goals were received skeptically at first but later with so much joy and happiness. These tours were great. Luxor Temple, Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Medina were ultimately the destinations; the two outer destinations are also definitely worth to be included in the program in general.
