• Valley of the Kings - Your journey begins at 3:30 am with a pickup from your Cairo hotel by a tour guide, followed by a transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival in Luxor, an expert tour guide will meet you with a sign displaying your name. You’ll then be transported in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to start your full-day tour of the West Bank of the Nile River. Here, you’ll visit the Valley of the Kings, Deir El Bahari Temple, Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The tour includes an excursion to the Necropolis of Thebes on the Eastern bank. After crossing the Nile, you’ll drive to the Valley of the Kings to explore the tombs of various dynasties.
• Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut, also known as Djeser-Djeseru (Ancient Egyptian: ḏsr ḏsrw “Holy of Holies”), is located in Upper Egypt. Built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut, it lies beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile, near the Valley of the Kings. This temple is dedicated to Amun and Hatshepsut and is situated next to the mortuary temple of Mentuhotep II, which served as both an inspiration and a quarry. It is considered one of the “incomparable monuments of ancient Egypt.” The Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw is responsible for studying and restoring the temple’s three levels. As of early 1995, the first two levels were nearly complete, with the top level still under reconstruction.
• Colossi of Memnon - On your return journey, you’ll stop at the Colossi of Memnon, two gigantic seated statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile.
• Temple of Karnak - The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak (/ˈkɑːr.næk/ from Arabic Khurnak meaning “fortified village”), is a vast mix of decayed temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction began during the reign of Senusret I in the Middle Kingdom (around 2000-1700 BC) and continued into the Ptolemaic period (305-30 BC), although most of the existing buildings date from the New Kingdom. The area around Karnak was the ancient Egyptian Ipet-isut (“The Most Selected of Places”) and the main place of worship for the Eighteenth Dynasty Theban Triad, with the god Amun as its head. It is part of the monumental city of Thebes. The Karnak complex gives its name to the nearby modern village of El-Karnak, located 2.5 kilometers (1.6 miles) north of Luxor.
• Luxor Temple - Visit the granite statues of Ramses the Great and proceed by carriage or bus to Karnak, a series of temples built during different reigns. Starting at the Avenue of Sphinxes, you’ll visit the Unfinished Propylon, the Hypostyle Hall with its 134 gigantic columns, the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Tutomosis III, the Temple of Amon adorned with lotus and papyrus designs, the Granite Scarab of Amenophis III, and the Sacred Lake. After the tour, you’ll be transferred back to your hotel.
