- Valley of the Kings - Next, you’ll drive to the west bank to visit the Valley of the Kings, where the pharaohs of the New Kingdom carved their tombs into the mountains to hide their treasures and protect their mummies.
- Howard Carter House - Then, drive to the domed mud-brick house where Howard Carter lived during his search for Tutankhamun’s tomb. Surrounded by a garden on an otherwise barren slope above the road from Deir Al Bahari to the Valley of the Kings, the house has been restored and decorated with pictures and tools from the excavations. An exact replica of Tutankhamun’s burial chamber has been constructed on the edge of the garden, along with an exhibition related to the discovery of the tomb.
- Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - Next, visit the mortuary temple of the famous Queen Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari. Discover her beautiful temple and the intriguing story of her and her nephew.
- Art Valley Alabaster Factory - After that, you’ll have the chance to visit the alabaster factory, where people still bring stones from the quarry and shape them into various handmade items, just like the ancient Egyptians did.
- Tombs of the Nobles - Then, you’ll move to the Valley of the Nobles, which contains the tombs of Luxor’s nobles, such as Ramose, Senniffer, Menna, and over 400 other Theban nobles. These tombs, nestled in the foothills opposite the Ramesseum, are marked by numbers and feature beautifully carved scenes.
- Colossi of Memnon - Next, enjoy a photo stop in front of the gigantic statues of Memnon.
- Temple of Medinat Habu - Continue to visit the Medinat Habu Temple of King Ramses III, the last great warrior pharaoh of the New Kingdom (1550 – 1080 B.C.). This well-preserved temple is decorated with military scenes and texts illustrating the king’s victories, as well as the rituals performed and festivals celebrated. A royal palace was attached to the temple’s open forecourt, while priests’ dwellings and administrative units lay on either side of the temple. After finishing, you will be transferred back to your hotel or Nile cruise in Luxor.
