Mahh moof is the best - Let me write a short review for one of my Egypt tour guides. So, I visited tour to Edful and Qom. And if you are that person who likes adventure, then you would like this. Otherwise, pretty sure you won't. I got picked up last minute, super earlier than I was expected. But the person did tell me that that was going to happen. So the person who picked me up was a 19-year-old, super reckless driver. I mean, he's a 19-year-old. Um, didn't understand what I was saying or asking because he didn't speak English. He only took me to very expensive, um, places. And the whole thing was a scam. Except the tour to the temple. So once we got to the temple, I met the tour for that temple. Especially the tour, the best tour that I've ever had in the whole trip with Mahmood

A wonderful day exploring the well preserved Edfu Temple - Smooth, effortless communication with the tour operator. We were piked up on time by a friendly driver in a nice car. We were given plenty of time to see both temples and were brought back home safely. The Edfu Temple is better preserved than the Kom Ombo Temple. We didn't know that at the time so ask your driver or your tour guide (if you've booked one) for more time in Edfu. We had a wonderful day and I definitely recommend this tour!

Great driving but tipping is a problem - Very nice tour , the guide very good a very good person . The only unnice thing for which I was very bad but on the other hand almost everywhere here in Egypt is that tipping is mandatory and there is also a minimum amount. I think everyone should be free to give an offer based on their experience and I for example did not have a great experience with the driver who took me from the ship to the Edfu temple this morning. The minimum tip was 1€ which is equivalent to 50 Egyptian pounds I had only 100 pounds and I kindly asked the driver to change them and give me 50 , he with a full wallet wanted to give me back only 20 pounds telling me that the rest would be a gift from me when I had only those without the possibility of withdrawing others and in addition a little annoyed by the attitude I would not even give him 1€ if it was not mandatory. However, it took him a while to give me change and he wouldn’t even let me down. These people are already paid but still require extra money MANDATORY when in my opinion it should be on offer whether or not you are satisfied with your experience, if you do not give them the money they treat you like patches and this is not good at all.

Go for a private tour - It s a very long way from Luxor to Edfu and Kom Ombo, but we can definetely say that is worth it, especially for Edfu which is greatly conserved. You are going to spend most of the time in the car, but doing it with Abu and Peter made everything funny and enjoyable, they are the cutest. Thanks again for everything guys! I will not give 5 stars only because we booked our private tour at 9am, and the night before the company asked to move it at 6 or 7am.

Really good day out - Small mix up about pick up time but resolved quickly. I chose the driver only option and was happy with that as I have been before many years ago and prefer walking around at my own pace taking photos. Special thanks to the driver Ayman who kept me entertained and managed the difficult traffic with complete calm and I always felt safe and secure- car was very comfortable.

mercenary and expensive - The trip to Kom ombo and edfu was excellent. Except that we did not have tickets as the guide at Kom ombo did not meet us until we were already in the temple. But he gave us money for the tickets instead which was fine. And he was very nice and let us stop to pick up a felafel and coffee. We asked to stop at Esna on the way. Was very difficult to get them to agree. Charged additional cost, which was fine but insisted on immediate payment. And then said the cost was deferred via the text number. Did not hear from them again and they sent a guide the next day to get the money.

Losing a customer - Hello, everybody. I write about this unfortunately very negative experience. The local agency was Emo Tours. The serious thing is to pass off a delay of 3 1/2 hours, with subsequent change of stop for the tour, as something not to be refunded. I had booked a tour to Kom Ombo and Edfu for January 1. The tour was supposed to start at 6am and instead magically the driver stopped by at 9:30am. Evidently the effort to wake up after New Year's Eve applies only to the customer who also pays handsomely. In all this, the numerous reminders of inquiry, which started the night before, about the actual departure time and where the driver and guide were were were not answered! Moreover, the Kom Ombo stage was skipped, replaced by Esna, a truly beautiful temple, precisely because it got late, it would not have been possible for us to return to Luxor in time for the van that would have taken us to Aswan. The guide in this case was good in helping us with the passage, bringing the van with our luggage directly near Edfu, and then we continue to Aswan. The tour was also interesting and the guide explained well and in detail. The problem was when I returned to Italy: my request for a refund of a part of the tour, given the obvious inconvenience caused, was bounced 2-3 times, apologizing for what happened, despite having sent proof that the tour had been varied in opera and that I had not received an answer from anyone since the evening before the tour. Bottom line: good driving, bad organization, even worse customer care.

EMO Tours – Disorganized, Unprofessional, and Deeply Disappointing - Yesterday, my family and I booked a guided tour to Edfu Temple and Kom Ombo Temple, once again operated by EMO Tours. Unfortunately, just like previous experiences, this tour confirmed why this company should be avoided. The driver arrived exactly at 6:00 a.m., which I appreciate. However, despite entering the pickup location during booking and receiving confirmation, EMO still insists on asking for the pickup location again late the night before—or even early in the morning. This happens every single time. It strongly suggests that customer information is poorly shared, likely because tours are outsourced to freelance drivers and guides with little coordination. Our first destination was Edfu Temple. The driver was fine: a decent vehicle, no smoking, and professional enough. The problems began with the guide. He joined us near the temple after a two-hour drive from Luxor. Upon arrival, instead of starting the tour, he rushed to a café to buy drinks and breakfast, then ate hurriedly before the tour began. Throughout the tour, he kept burping repeatedly, which was uncomfortable and unprofessional. His explanations were shallow and rushed. When asked questions, he responded dismissively, as if bothered. During the free time for photos, we eventually had to follow another group’s guide just to overhear explanations that our own guide failed to provide. After finishing Edfu, we drove another 1.5 hours toward Kom Ombo. At the entrance of the town, the first guide got off, and a second guide boarded about five minutes later. As soon as he entered the car, there was an overwhelming smell of food soaked into his clothes, filling the vehicle. He began asking questions that felt oddly intrusive and uncomfortable. At Kom Ombo Temple, the pattern repeated. About 20 minutes of half-hearted explanation, then he announced he would wait at a café. We were told to take photos for 15 minutes and spend the remaining 10 minutes at the Crocodile Museum, then return to the café. That was the entirety of the “guided” experience. We booked this tour because we wanted our children to learn about Egypt’s history and culture, to experience more than just passing through ancient stones. Instead, we were given guides who lacked even the most basic sense of professional responsibility or pride in their work. My family and I did not enjoy this tour at all. It was frustrating, disappointing, and a waste of time and money. I would never recommend this tour or this company to anyone. If EMO is merely acting as a tour operator, they should seriously consider changing tour companies altogether. As it stands, EMO Tours is one of the worst operators we have encountered in Egypt. One star is more than this experience deserved.
